Like the title says. I have zero time to work on this car and its gotta go.
Its a 1993 Lincoln Mark 8 with 198k miles on a very clean and straight body. The interior is very clean and everything works in the car.
The engine is a perfect running 4500 mile Teskid block with a steel crank out of a 99 Cobra complete with the 5 spd conversion. When we got the car the engine wouldn't start due to the clutch pedal being bolted too close to the harness which rubbed and kept popping main fuses. The problem has been fixed and the engine runs perfect. All the car needs is a air compressor for the suspension. We manually filled it and the lines and air bags all hold air. The shifter needs to be moved back so the console can be installed. We found a way to make this work making a simple bracket. The engine is running on the harness and computer from the 93 Lincoln so its using 2 ignition coils and wires instead of the COP setup.
The car is located in Astoria Queens NY. I won't seperate the motor from the car, it goes as is for $2K Firm.

There has been a lot of interest on a manually shifted Mark8 but only a few did it.
For that money somebody should grab it pretty quick.

Where's bawazir? he wants a mark

BUMP to the top.

The entire car I'll let go for $2K firm.

For $2500+shipping, Ill seperate the engine which is a Teskid block with a steel crank out of a 1999 Cobra.

Heres a vid of it running, Ill do a updated video if someone is interested before I pull it. The whistle was a unconnected vacuum line which was reconnected after this was taken.

Nothing to particular...just trying get the associated cost on and the work involved in making the simple bracket and any additional (if any) information you can provide about the car.

Also to see if you are looking for a quick sell...very interested. Thanks.

Basically the clutch bracket will have to be notched or relocated a bit to clear the harness that runs under the dash. Thats not a big deal. It needs a air compressor for the suspension. The solenoids all work and the bags hold air when manually filled. The swap was done by the previous owner who ended up putting a ton of new parts on this engine in a attempt to get it running when it turned out to be the clutch pedal chaffing the wires of the harness.
The engine sounds and runs strong, no smoke and no noises coming out of it. The only issues are that the oil pan is leaking. A new gasket will come with the car and the dipstick tube was bent when the engine was installed so it will need to be replaced. Otherwise its a great project car or just a great engine to use for other projects.
I am looking to sell quickly, but my prices are firm. $2K for the car, with this engine and trans is pretty much giving it away. The extra $500 is my time and labor to pull the engine out and then junking a car thats pretty much useless at that point.

Every time this thread gets resurrected, I think the same thing: "Man that sucker would be fun!"

I guess the people that want a manual-transmission Mark 8 don't want to actually work on one to have one, cause that's one heck of a deal on one heck of a good start.

I dont have any more pics at the moment, the undercarriage was clean and straight the last time we were under it, the paint is in great shape, its original owner always kept it in a garage and I have done the same since I picked it.
The clutch pedal needs to be installed and a suspension compressor to get the car off the ground. Then it can be driven.
