Well we had a local man bring his 2011 5.0 GT in for a CAK and Kooks and a tune, so I started with a stock pull on the dyno in third gear this car is a six speed auto, so below is the stock # SAE 346 and 328 with a AF of 12.0

So the car is a tad rich and if it was standard it would have made close to 400 to the tires. The 5.0 would be a neat project for a Marauder, and could be done with the stock Marauder ECM and wiring harness, if you converted the 5.0 to fixed cam timing I am sure some one will come out with a kit for this later on. So we ordered a set of Kooks and a CAK Steve chose to drop the sub frame, Kooks first install the raised the engine and it took about six hours, by droping the sub frame we were able to cut this time down. We reused the OEM gaskets and studs.

There are those that say that headers on some cars are worth the investment, the Marauder is one of these cars in my opinion the GT is not as you can see by the next dyno sheet, this is LTH and a CAK with NO tune and the car is still rich. 353/335

I will lean it out and tweak it but I do not see a phenomenal change here but this still is a great car, and I will firm the shifts up adj the torque converter lockup and remove the speed limiter, more to follow.

dropping a 5.0 in a mm and making it fixed timing would be an absolute waste of time, money, and effort.

I was just thinking the same thing. . . it's the variable cam timing that would make it worth the trouble

You can see the electric steering in the 2nd image.
6 speed automatic. That would be fun in a Marauder also.

:hmmm:
Interesting....Ford had claimed that aftermarket exhaust headers would realize very little gains over the OEM 'twin T' exhaust shorty headers.

I thought Ford said to properly utilize the variable timing that the headers HAD to be twin T???

With as many millions of Mustangs as there are out there, it would have to be profitable for somebody to come up with a retrofit kit...

There is a kit now but you have to consider the cost, not only for parts, 6k for a motor that does not include a wiring harness, and a ECM and probably 5k minimum labor how many Marauder owners are going to do that. Yes it would be neat like Pauls six speed manual Cobra conversion he had probably 75K in that when you consider all the time and labor, he did sell that car, for about 40K.

Well on pump gas the car gained a little over 20 RWHP, today we installed 3:73 Gears and with the transmission adjustments, the car feels a whole lot better, it will break the tires loose when it hits second gear. Lethal Performance had one of these go tens with slicks, tune CAK and shot of N2O and 4:56 fears and race gas. I feel this man will be happy, with the changes we have made and to me that is all that is important.

Well we sent one S?C CV back last night, and had a 2000 ligating delivered.we had the owner of the 2011 GT come by and with a tine CAK and Kooks and it made about 380, it will roast the tires when hitting second gear,he was very happy

It has and will always be Cost vs. Performance for cars. Kooks is high cost with limited increase in HP or 1/4 mile performance for most motors. Highly built motors do benefit from LTs. Shorties give the MM more torque off the line over the LTs. If you do not care about real performance then enjoy Kooks or SSW and the braggin rights that LTers like with the "Big" headers. I'll keep my Shorties and be the first over the finish line.

I'm super curious to know what your car will run as is with LTH's.
