It all starts on thursday night, i head down to see my parents for the weekend and get 18.2 mpg on the way down keeping the car between 80 to 90mph all the way. got there not a silgle hicup.
On friday i detailed the car and showed up at the tower shops, hung out with the Sunshine State Marauders crew. had a great time there with everyone. John Nero hooked me up with some slicks, it was a good friday.
On Saturday my friends and i went to the local cruise place, well somehow one of them talked me into racing his freshly built '93 SE-R turboed.
by now i know i better put some race fuel and load up the race tune, did that, came back and we went off to the place we always go, i lowered the tire pressure to 24psi. then we lined up and did a 20mph roll, third horn beep, i spun just a little then took off on him while he still spinning, next thing i know he flys by like a rocket i look down and my speedometer is climing right before 100mph. so a lost but is ok it was fun, when we pull over and talk about it he says. power to weght ratio bro. im like, yeah you are like 2500 pounds and maybe 300whp, he says no 2250 lbs with me on the car and 398whp. i said no wonder. but then i thought about my power windows, airbags, a/c, and space that he doesnt have.
next, my other friend with the 5.7 liter hemi 300c on the 100 shot that spanked me last time that my car was starving for fuel at wot jumped and said, you want another spanking? i added a remote bottle warmer, i said why not. again 20mph roll, we go and he jumps a car lenght on, by the time i was doing 110mph he was way back there. we came back and he said thats all i had man, did you do anything else to the car and i said, i just made it run the way a s/c marauder should run. that was my saturday.
On sunday i went to Florida city to see some family, another great trouble free ride.
Today i hit the highway and saw three mm's on the way home and kept the car between 75mph and 80mph loaded with slicks on the trunk, lots of mangos and avocados. got here, refilled again and did the math, i was stoked, 20.6 mpg.
This is hands down the best all around car anyone can ever have for the money. happy Marauding.:banana2:
just thought i'd share.
