From what I've read it's a weekend install.

Ya, it's not a terribly difficult install. Just make sure you have everything you need on hand before you start, the directions are quite detailed.

Yeah I thought the same, that it would be. The only part that I hate to do is the electrical part of the install. :P

I helped with mine, then installed Mercs and couple Prochargers.

congrats, if an eaton swap can be done in a week or less, a trilogy could be done in a day easy.

Congrats from #192. If you are mechanically inclined, you should be able to coast through the install in 2-3 days, if you want to hump, it can be done quicker.

Congrats from #196! I did my install in 3 days on a long weekend, taking my time. I did do some pre-assembly of the blower/intercooler one evening, though. And +1 on installing a real oil pressure gauge.

I am reading thru the intructions, I get to the part on how to Torque down the Super Charger. Is 264 lbs of torque correct  ?

I have the manual at home. The one online is different, it doesn't have that page. When I get home, ill see what page it is.

264 lb/ft is a hell of a lot of torque. You'd have to stand on the torque wrench to get that much, sounds really high for what you're talking about. I bet you'd strip out the aluminum before achieving that torque spec.

My guess is it's either 264 lb/in or something else entirely

Yep that's it. It is inch pounds. Chuck just clarified that for me. that number is divided by 12.

You dont need a torque wrench for anything on a Trilogy, but use it if it puts your mind at ease.

What a memorable day that was. The car started for the first time and under boost a 5:00 A.M Monday morning. Defyant drove my cars down some back road at near ballistic speeds on the first test drive. I remember passing by a tall deer on the road side. I could almost read her tiny lips. I thinks she said something like "Dang, that's one bad Marauder, I don't think any of my family members were killed by one of those".

10/7/06 is when the madness began for me and I am still tearing up the pavement. I am currently on a 2 year break from racing but will return soon, but not this year. Enjoy your investment and your new found addiction to boost.

#0098 says "welcome to the boost!"

I did my self-install over a period of days. Lots of double checking, but the install manual is excellent and it will walk you through the process. The biggest pain for me was the EGR tube, make sure you get it broken loose before the car is disabled. I missed this step and spent about 4 hours on a 15 minute job :o :bigcry:

Thanks for the memories Merc! I had a great time hanging out with you and doing the install.

FYI, my first date with my new wife was one year and one day from this install! ;)
