so i got my programmer yesterday from ups , but it was raining when i got home so i didnt do it . i got up early this morning so that i could install it in the car i was dieing for the new found power and a 18 mile trec to work would be fun , so about halfway to work i had a 99-04 mustang gt pull up to me trying to start something , so i figured this would be a easy kill it looked stock so i went for it from a 65 punch i pulled like a semi distace away from him easy , so i slowed down so that i would give him another run i let him get about 20ft ahead of me at first then the raping began i ran it up to about 110 and lost him. as i was getting off the highway he had cought up to me as i was turning onto the road he was right up my ass. as soon as i got straight on the road , i see flashing lights in the mirrior the mustang is a unmarker state trooper and yes i got a ticket , the cop was kinda cool for the most part besides him giving me a 90 in a 65 ticket // so a fun expencive FAIL on my end

You showed that SOB. Ha, nice kill but, man that sucks. I saw an article recently about LEO's using more under covers to catch speeders. OUCH!

In some states that could be considered entrapment...that sucks but I'm sure it was fun. Kills are always fun...

YEA but it would have been more fun without the ticket, ya probably shot his ego to he!! and he had to feel better by giving you a ticket. Out run by a taxi cab?????? Priceless. In fact I would feel better blowing his slow stang away anyway.:bows:.

I'd check your VTL and see if 25 over = bye, bye license. In some states it does.

Entrapment would mean they hold a gun to your head and make you do it. It is not entrapment. They offer you the opportunity, but you have the choice of whether you want to do it or not.

So far I have never seen any undercovers other than a CV. A Mustang one? Damn, that's a let down. I bet he'd love his job a little bit more if his department seized a Marauder though! haha

that sucks, what a di#$. go to court, hopefully he wont show. if he does, and they find you guilty(do not admit to being guilty), appeal it, go to the circuit court, and the people before you will be up for charges like child molestation, king pin drug dealer, and then you...a lousy speeding ticket.

it worked for me...i was up against like 25 points in md, got away with probation before judgement;)--whitey

They have unmarked Camaros here in San Antonio, along with a few Impalas and now that Chargers are becoming a true mainstay those are in the mix too. It's almost not worth it to race with anyone any more (yeah yeah, "as if it ever was in the first place"). Good thing is they don't use undercover here to bust street racers, they just watch for reckless and inattentive drivers, which is a ridiculously serious problem here during daytime traffic. Only other thing they use undercover cars for is bait cars: leave a modded Honda out at night in SA and see if you find it there in the morning...

This sounds like something from the movie Hot Rod A.K.A. Rebel Of The Road.

Cool, but not cool at the same time. Don't go to court, he went down from 110 to 90 and that was being nice. If you go to court and he is there he'll mention 110 and you'll be screwed for sure. Just pay it and move on, you were lucky!

Cops who bait like that and give you tickets are tools

Go to court. Most of the time the DA will let you plead to 9 miles over the limit, no points on your license, no insurance points and you pay the court costs , which is all they really want.

Also you might be getting some letters from lawyers. Used a lawyer to get a speeding ticket for 10 miles over reduced to improper equipment. $250.00 later, no court appearance, no license points, no insurance points.

bummer, need to look out for the under cover cars, I've seen everything from chargers to magnums to mustangs and now the cameros and the new taurus will be tough to recognize at first as well

In the words of Snoop Dog, would this be considered "1-8-7 on an undercover cop"?

I don't think that this was a kill in the usual sense because he was not "racing" you, instead he was giving you enough rope to hang yourself.

I also saw, a few years back, a County Mountie with a Marauder on patrol on I-45 near St. Louis.

we have undercovers in your everday mini vans as well as an SS silverado and a '04 Lightning. its definitly not worth the risk to street race around here.

That must be Carol Stream or maybe West Chicago, the Sheriffs Office doesn't have any unmarked Dodges. If you get a plate number next time let me know and I will check it out.

State trooper? Thats a first in my experience here in affordable St. Chuck. The St Peters cops have an unmarked silver grey Expedition that they use to reel 'em in on 370. I try to see the eyeballs b/4 letting it rip. Roll down your window when next to the target. If he won't do the same, don't go.

If your lawyer does a good job, PM me his name, and best of luck.

That sucks bro. I side with the folks who say you got lucky there. 110 in a 65 would hurt bad!
Not that I'm trying to pick races everywhere but it seems most people here in my area are scared ***** of my car. I get people slamming on their brakes, putting on their seatbelts, being courteous, using turn signals (even had 1 guy use hand signals!) all around me. No takers...probably better this way ;)

If a county mounty here in Springfield, Mo or City police was caught doing that, they would lose their job. One of my collegues who is a Greene County Sherriff part time almost lost his job for just letting me look around at the new Chargers a little bit. I can't really believe he was "Actually" racing you...but then again that is St.Lou area LEOs. Unprofessional as hell...

I heard if you send your ticket payment by mail, overpay it and then don't cash the check they send you for the difference. Supposedly, nothing can happen until the transaction is complete?? Probably not true, but stranger things have happened.
