So, I bought my lovely Marauder 2 months ago, and I developed a Rear def leak a few weeks into it. Got it fixed, then it started again. But today, I got a weird clicking sound happening when I accellerate. It sounds like its coming from near the drivers side tire. Car runs fine, shifts properly and still ahuls the mail, but the clicking is bad. So I gotta take her to the shop again, anybody know what I should have them look for?

(And no, I don't think these problems happened before I bought her, so I don't think I got screwed. I think I am just a victim of circumstance)

No expert here, but Jeff @ Mo's is as good as they come with Marauders. Sounds like something he should listen too. I would say Scott Levine too but........... he gone:bigcry:

A couple of people have had problems after rear end work with either the ABS sensor loose or parking brake issues.

Scott rebuilt mine tight as a tick when I busted my pinion gear..... Now when the car is cold, it makes a locker type sound like your rear end. No worries though because Scott told me he did it that way on purpose.....

I can tell you there is a huge improvement in the way the car launches, so I will take a little extra noise.

With respect to Pony's car, those noises can be any number of things as is illustrated by the suggestions listed here...... Get a pro involved. It will hopefully save rebuilding the entire car;)

Took her in this morning, turns out it's a bad header gasket. I'm taking it back on Monday to get the work done, also my rear def seal is a little warped, so they are fixing that as well. Depending on the labor, shouldn't be too pricey. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone

You got headers? Did they reused the stock gaskets?

also my rear def seal is a little warped,Uh...def seal? You mean axle seal, pinion seal, or differential cover gasket?

The differential cover. Had a pretty bad leak with it about a month ago, so they re-sealed it which solved the problem, but now I got a small leak same place.

I don't know jack about cars, so these guys could totally rip me off, but they have a rep for being pretty honest and came recommended.

Not sure, the headers were on when I bought her, Reinhart did the work, but I'm not sure. All I know is she's whistling and ticking like she has tourettes syndrome

I've had ticking for years and the car has been fine. It has changed my mind though.

Don't think your wife would like that trade, I'd be a let down. besides do you really want to go to Orlando and sit in meetings for 3 days? Tell you what though, we can trade Maruaders for a year hehe :)

How did the repairs go with your car?

Oh thats right, I meant to post up, but I had to go to Florida. Repairs went great. Black Betty is running the bes tI have seen her run. She feels completely right now. Rear Diff cover was smoothed out and resealed, so no more leak, and the header gasket was fixed. It might be my imagination, but since that gasket was fixed, she seemed to pick up more power. I couldn't be happier. My only debate now is whether to bring the Marauder or the Mustang to the breakfast tomorrow, but I think the Marauder won out, despite the fact it's raining tonight. Gonna try and get her washed in the morning on my out. Thanks for asking
