Last night I went over to the Saturday night cruise in Pasadena, Md. (Marley Station Mall front parking lots).
It was beautiful weather and I figured there would be a great turnout.
Many, many cars!

I saw two cars that were absolute KILLER sleepers!

#1: A clean Porsche 944, but those big N/A 4 cylinders were slugs by today's standards. Plus that pipe is a little too RicerRoni.

UH OH!
Say it ain't so!

http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae326/JoeJWalsh/IMG_2227.jpg

SURPRISE!!!....A nasty SB Chevy tucked under the hood!

#2: Get that old green Dodge Pickup off the cruise parking lot!!!

http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae326/JoeJWalsh/IMG_2233-1.jpg

UH OH! It's got a 'big intercooled hairdryer' bolted to a built 360 small block and very sticky drag radials....

Last one is certainly no sleeper!

How about a 6 second street registered and driven Vette?

If one HUGE turbo is good.....

Then TWO HUGE turbos must be better!!

2200 HP in a twin turbo 400cid small block!
The front plate says it all.

I never did quite understand this, but why did you "scrub" off the license plates in your photos?
Did the owners ask you to do this? Secret identity or something?

Cool pics!

I'd have used a small block Ford in the Porche though. Having the distributer in front would have allowed him to set the engine further back in the chassis. There is usually two Porche 928's at the annual CarCraft show in St Paul with Chevy small blocks in 'em. Ones got a 6-71 blower through the hood though which destroys the 'sleeper' image though.

There's a guy in town (big Mopar collecter) that has truck very similar to the turbo'd truck. His is a nasty shade of light green and sounds mean as hell. Would love to get a look under the hood of that rig sometime.

I think I've seen that Vette before. IIRC Rod Saboury owns it. That guy really likes wrecking vettes.

That's the one...I wonder how many 100s of thousands he has in that Vette...:hmmm:

Rod Saboury is the same guy that actually Pro-Streeted a mint '63 Split window Vette. As much as I dislike Government Motors (formerly Generic Motors), I do have a solid appreciation for Vettes. I'm not a big fan of the guy.

Oh well.. as long he's the one that has to change the plugs on that monster and not me, I'm happy. :D

That Porche though....wow! Screw German engineering. BFHammers, Yankee ingenuity and old school pushrods FTW!

Any Fords or Mercs make it to the show?

Notice that the SB Chevy/Porsche looks carburated, but is actually an Edelbrock fuelie system....
idles smooth as silk, pulls like a freight train and gets pretty decent mileage too...:2thumbs:

Not fast, but your pic showed a '56 T-bird with dual 4 bbls. Interesting car. also.

That was a clean T-Bird!
Sorry that I didn't take more pictures, I was out running errands whan I drove by for a quick walk through the cruise lot.
Every Saturday night they fill that parking lot with 200 - 400 cars!
Limited to 1974 or older cars, or cars with "Historic" plates = minimum 20 years or older. = Can't take the Marauder over there.

Let me know what you guys are interested in and I'll post up pictures from the next cruise night that I get over to...they get all sorts of awesome cars there.
