Is the Marauder windshield/screen specific or is it just a CV/GM windshield. Ours is very pitted and I want to know what to insist on when I call Safelite.:)

Marauder windshield is the same as Crown Vic or Grand Marquis.
Make sure you get an OEM Ford Car-Lite glass replacement.
Get the Dark Blue Tint....not the cheap dot matrix band at
the top.

They are NOT identical. The Marauder one comes with the dark blue "sunshade" band (whatever it's called) AND the dot matrix around the rearview mirror. A CV/GM one will certainly fit, though, if you don't want the dot matrix.

For the record: The windshields are ALL Indentical except for the following:
The 2003A Marauder windshield comes with a dark blue
shade at the top of the windshield. (the standard for many years)
The 2003B Marauder and 2004A Marauder come with only a dot matrix strip at the top.....with NO blue shading. The dot matrix on the 2003A Marauder is only around the rearview mirror with blue shading.
These variations also apply to all Crown Vics and Grand Marquis of the same years mentioned.

When speaking of indentical....any one of these windshields will
fit in any of the cars listed above. So you will have more than
one choice. Interestingly the 2009 Lincoln Town Car comes with both!
( total dark blue shade and total dot matrix shade combined)

Safelite does not have Carlite. Go to carlites website and look for local places. That is what I did and I'm glad I did.

When I needed a windscreen I went with Safelite and told them I wanted Marauder glass, not Marquis, and they knew exactly what I meant. Their replacement glass looks exactly like the original.
