Just checking to see if anyone has a tuner available. Figured I would check before I bought a new one. I have paypal ready to go. :D

Most tuners are programmed just for the car with that vin # so that you can't pass them onto someone else.

Yes you can, but first you have to return the car the tuner was used on to the stock tune. That will "unlock" the tuner. Or you can get a licensed tuner to unlock it for you.

Also, if you buy a used tuner, even if it is unlocked, you're going to have to pay for a tune to be loaded onto it.

IMO, better off buying a new tuner from one of our vendors, tuner will come loaded with a base performance tune on it, and you can get them to tweak parameters on it for minimal cost.

Find a used and unlocked xcal2 or 3.

Save your money.

What is the cost of the tuner? Also I just ordered 4.10's and have full SW exhaust installed. Would this change anything on the tune? If so what is the cost involved with that.

Find a used tuner and download a performance file for your car off the internet for free.
