Is everything tight and installed correctly? Is the plug all the way in on the starter?

Is the car all the way in park? Try moving the shifter around.

Did the starter work before and suddenly stopped, or is this the first time trying to start it after the install?

Was the starter tested when you bought it before leaving the store?

Mike.

pull the console out and bypass it...not hard. Shifter comes off by sliding the collar down and you will find 2 Torx screws

Would be one helluva coincidence the neutral safety switch went bad when you changed a non-tested starter.

Just maybe,...

old one was bad they said it locked up

Well then go out to your starter and hook the small wire up to the CORRECT terminal and report back.

If your old one was bad and you turned the key, there may be a fuse blown. Check again or its a wiring problem or its a bad starter out of the box.

My gut is telling me bad starter.

Maybe try swapping the fuse(s) out with a new one? I have seen where fuses are blown, but very difficult to tell.

I hope it's something stupid and not the starter. Even though you can get another replacement starter, it would suck having to do the R&R again.

Or, try bypassing the neutral safety switch to rule that out?

Mike.

I had a pinched wire in the harness behind the driver side cam cover, I replaced everything you did, finally had it flat bedded to the dealer, where they found the problem. Maybe this could be the cause.
