I recently came in to a Midnight Blue Mercury Marauder. I wasn't planning on buying a car, but I have always been a fan of the Marauders, regardless of color. I remember going by the Lincoln Mercury dealership when they first came out. They had a black Marauder sitting on the corner of the lot, teasing me every time I drove by.
Anyway, a gentleman in Ann Arbor was selling his Midnight Blue Marauder, so I figured I would think about it. Midnight Blue was my favorite color of the four, regardless I was still on the fence for quite some time. When I heard Mercury was finished at the end of this model year, and that the Panthers were scheduled to end production at the end of next year, I decided it was time to get one of my own. So I flew to Detroit, bought the car, and drove it back to Western Nebraska and I must say the color is stunning, the ride is smooth, and the seats are very comfortable. The car made the 20 hour drive seem like nothing. The only problem to note was that the radio started losing reception intermittently on my trip home, but from searching the threads here, it seems like it has happened to a few others as well.
Other than the radio, the car is nearly flawless, the interior is like brand new and there are only a few minor dings and scratches in the exterior. Nothing major, and I'm sure it isn't anything a little elbow grease can't take out. I'm looking forward to many years of quality driving in this car and I'm sure it will oblige.
