Hey all - Where is our PCV valve located? I see 2 possible candidates one on each V/Cover. I am interested in the catch can dealio as well. Anyone have a how - to? At what intervals do we change the PCV valve?

The pcv is on the PS cam cover. Remove it, soak it in degreaser, and blow it out. There is no reason to replace it unless the ball won't rattle. I made a baffled catch can thread, look it up and make your own.

has any one replaced it yet (EGR VALVE). i was wondering whats going on with my 03 marauder before i break down and take it to the dealersship. here is the problem. when i drive below 40mph, it hesitates and jerks bad, i replaced the fuel filter, tried c-foam, replaced the pluges about 12,000 miles ago.the car has 112,000 miles on it. I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THE COILS ALSO, but how do you find and check the bad one if any.

^ You buy them from MuscleMerc at an amazing price. It's about the same money to have the dealer load test yours. Im getting a set here in a few days just to have and ordered the GMS connector kit already. From what it sounds like you have a bad coil. No CEL?

^ Thanks,

Ya, it sounds like you have bad coils. To answer your question about finding the bad one is to have a dealer do a coil test. The test will show exactly which one's are bad.

mercury5, you asked about the EGR valve in a thread about the PCV...you may get more answers if you ask the question as a separate thread.
