HAS ANYONE REPLACED IT YET?(EGR VALVE) I WAS WONDERING IF MINE IS BAD? MY 03 MARAUDER JERKS AND HESITATES REAL BAD BELOW 40 MPH, I REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER, TRIED C-FOAM ALSO. I ALSO WONDER IF IT'S THE COILS AND HOW DO YOU TEST THEM, BETTER YET, CAN YOU TEST THE EGR VALVE, IT SEEMS TO DO THE HESITATING AND JERKING AFTER THE CAR WARMS UP . I REPLACED THE PLUGS ABOUT 12,000 MILES AGO THE CAR HAS 112,000 MILES ON IT.I HATE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, BUT ......

31k and just bought it. I think it's a good idea to do it. Looking for the best place/method. Thanks - sorry for the threadjack.

If it were a bad egr valve it whould be hard to crank, and have a very rough idle (like a vacum line was cut). The egr will throw a code. Coils on the other hand will give you a stubble at idle and throughout the rpm range. They will more than likely not throw a code.

Please remove the caps when asking questions.

I brought mine over the weekend to a local shop that I trust and they did the flush method where the entire tranny and convertor gets flushed using the transmission pump. The fluid is immaculate and the trans shifts smoother and feels better all around.
I brought them my fluid because I want to make sure I use nothing but pure Mercon V.

How many gallons did it take?

The entire tranny takes 13.9 quarts, but I was told to bring 15. The extra quart is for the push through.

If you guys want to do the same power flush on the cheap get a brand new 5 gal bucket and an old 5 gal bucket, 8ft of 3/8" hose, and a cuppler. Remove the top hose from the trans cooler and connect one end of the hose to it using the cuppler and connect the other end of the hose to the cooler. Drive the car hard for 30~40 min to open the thermo loop and immediately cut the hose. Have the new bucket filled with new fluid standing by and start the car, put the car in reverse and have someone watch the bucket so it does'nt go empty. Old fluid out, new fluid in.

How are you putting the new fluid in?

the pump will pump out the old fluid no problem but it won't suck in the new fluid. Unless I am reading this wrong.

Luckily I own a trans flush machine and I must say they work great!

Yeah I learned that hot and cold fluid don't mix. The new fluid will actually push out the old fluid as long as the transmission is hot.

There are 2 rubber lines that come off the tranny into the radiator. The pump will pull the new fluid in from one line from the one bucket as it pumps the old fluid out from the other line into another bucket is what he's saying.
Its the same method that the machine does except the machine has its own pump and gauges so it keeps it accurate.
