AC Compressor Squeak or Chirp

Every time my AC compressor kicks on it has a very loud squeak or chirp. I can hear it driving down the road with the windows up and fan blowing on high. Its only like a half second but its one of those noises that drive you nuts cause you know its not supposed to be there. Please tell me its either normal or something that can be fixed. I was thinking of shooting some WD-40 on the compressor clutch but didn't cause its a clutch and it might make it slip. If someone could give me some insight it would be appreciated. Thanks

My MM has it also. Mine's been doing it since day 1. I believe there was a TSB about adjusting the air gap of the A/C clutch. My dealer checked it and said it's within the specs in the TSB. Won't hurt anything.

Thanks for clearing it up. At least I know it normal, so I'll just have to get used to it.
