I have a black oem weathershield car cover I use now to cover my car. am I supposed to be waiting for the car to cool some before I cover it after driving or can I just come home and throw the cover on it for the night, till the next time I drive it?

I have never waited, either on the Marauder or the 'vette. Neither ever caught on fire from the exhaust pipes or from hot air getting trapped under them, they are designed to "breathe" out, but not in, hence the waterproof claim.

I always just covered my Camaro SS with no issues after driving.

I throw my cover right on. It never burned a hole or had any issues.

Mine was all natural as you can see in the picture. I just let it all hang out. Like in this photo of me on the beach.

Gosh that was a good day.

So you used Seafoam, not hairspray, no wonder!
