I will have to look for my manual and see what the procedure is for resetting it.

I am going to run outside and try it, but nothing is showing up at all so I am not sure this will work.

mine died a week ago as well. I miss it, but I also kinda wonder what else might fit in there...

it did flicker for a few seconds last night, so the compass is working, but the display isnt.

Mine died before I got the car but I took it apart and found several broken solder joints. Easy fix.

This may sound too simple but if you hit the mode button between the lamp buttons on the ceiling console, it cycles through the display. One setting is off. My wife hits the wrong button all the time and turns off the compass display all the time.

Ok, so the tap worked. It came on for a minute and went off. A second tap and the same result.

I must be out of taps because it will not work anymore.

I have not taken the console down in a while. Dp I unscrew the front and then unsnap the whole console and remove the compass from the back?

Yes, you have to remove the entire overhead console.

Marty, while it is down you should try and shoehorn a V1 in there.

As I understand it, that has been done.

I speed but not often enough in the MM tom make a permanent installation in that car.

From other posts, there should be some broken solder joints that need to be re-soldered.

I've never had mine apart, but need to do it.

Would be very hard to fit the entire V1 in there.

I put my Scangauge II in place of the compass.

I believe it is common to have the wiring damaged running up there. Liquid had some similar issues not long ago.
