Does anyone know the part # for the Adapter that Hunter is supposed to have for the MM? My service manager said that they would purchase the adapter if it was available. I've got the same problem that it seems that most have with the tires wearing on the inside. He said Ford didn't show any special tool for the Marauder.

Thanks:
Bob

Rat, the item is called "self-centering wheel adaptor extension kit." The Hunter part number is 20-1097-1. The part can be ordered from a Hunter representative. This information is from Hunter form 3641T, 03-94. The price is about $150.

Thanks we sent him that info. Looked it up on the Hunter site and it looks like it should work

If they have a proble finding it, have him call the Service Manager at Varsity Lincoln Mercury in Novi, MI. They purchased the equipment so they could do my car, it was my understanding they had to lay out over $1000 for the setup. Forteunately for them they can use it on the other lipless wheel equipped vehicles.

I don't suppose someone could post a pic of this setup installed on a Marauder wheel? If I could actually show the service manager what I'm talking about, it'd make things a lot easier.

Keep in mind that's $150 per wheel and it requires four of them, one for each alignment head. I was able to justify it at my dealer because some '03 Navigators and Town Cars also use a lipless rim.(We did have to bump the price on alignments a little).
