I will be swapping out the 3.55's for 4.10's very soon.
My question is:
In regards to when I'm driving the car home from the shop, is it recommended that I return the CPU back to a stock tune (a Zack tune is in there now) before the install?
Once at home, I do have the tune for the 4.10's to install, but I don't know if anything will get screwed up on the way home.
Thanks.

I'd say bring that tune with you somehow someway that way you can enjoy the gears from a start!

Jus driver it home and install the tune or take the tuner with you when you pick up the MM. Install the tuine in the parking lot. 10 minute job!

I don't understand that either? Why can't you just bring the tuner with you?

Load the 4.10 tune on the tuner and take it with you. Once the gear swap is done, load the 4.10 tune and enjoy!

To answer your basic question, no...you will not hurt anything by driving it with the 3.55 tune. Just remember your speedometer will read about 15% high and your shift points will be lower until you put the 4.10 tune in. There's no need to revert to stock in between.

An xcal2 will hold 3 tunes. You should already have the 3:55, 4:10, and ??? already loaded on the xcal to begin with.
