Like the title says, I need a tune. Just bought an Xcal2 and need a tune for my MM
Current mods:
4.10s
SW full exhaust
JLT intake
GMS connectors
NGK plugs
Still want to thank everyone on here for all of the info on the car. This is truly a great site!

You need a dyno tune since you're running headers.

Ditto on that, you are running real lean if you have headers on a stock tune.

No, you will need the xcal 2 to download the new tune, but because you have headers you shouldn't go with a stock tune like I use from Reinhardt.

Yep, I would drive the car very gingerly, don't take it past 3k rpms until you get a dyno tune. Like I said in the PM you take a risk of damaging something especially on a stock tune. If you had an aftermarket tune it gives you a little better chance but still in the end you need to the dyno tune to have a safe AFR and get the most out of the mod otherwise you wasted a lot of money for a bunch of sound.

Good deal. I can always load it on a trailer to where ever I have to take it. I guess the next question would be any other mods that are not real expensive I should do before I get the dyno tune done? Id like to get the most for my money if that makes sense. :D

Nope look like you are all set, make sure you tell the tuner you have 4.10 gears since the trans shift table will have to be adjusted.

This is from Houston performance website:
Dyno Tuning Complete dyno tuning package: includes engine evaluation, chip and installation, dyno testing, chip programming and dyno print out sheet $460
Dyno update package: includes engine evaluation, dyno testing, chip programming and dyno print out sheet. To qualify for this package, you must have previously purchased a performance chip from Houston Performance $175
Update programming in a Houston Performance chip $100
3 dyno runs, dyno run printout only (no programming) $75
"Dyno Day" group rates for clubs and organizations call for details
Updates to non-Houston Performance chips e.g. Tweecer, JMS or AutoLogic
Take the ride to Gearheads Performance instead.

You can try reinhart, just tell him what your objective is. But it'd get a few more mods then tune it.

All you need now other than a tune is a 3000-3500 torque converter. By the way I have been running SW long tubes for over a year with no issues or retune & my plugs look good no signs of being to lean. But a tune will dial things in & is a good idea.

Thanks! I will give them a call. Does anyone have a tune that could be used with the 4.10s to drive the car there. Is that not a good idea?
