Well, I pulled the NAZ PSRI off and port matched the stocker to be reinstalled. I dynoed @ 288rwhp last week. She wound up smoothly past 6k climbing steady all the way. Low end tq is down. I think I have too much volume (works at high rpms) and not enough velocity for low/mid. Shoulda gone with the stroked 5.0... Woulda used all that porting better! Looks like I'm following Fordnuts escapades! I think I'm just going to sc the beotch since she's forged and be done with it! That should make for lower PSI/HP with all the port work! :coolman: Oh yeah, pressure/leakdown is about 120psi on every cylinder. Static mind you, yet giving about 360 @ the crank...

Have you been to the dyno with the port matched lower manifold yet? It would be quite interesting to overlay the dyno charts with the swapped lowers but all else remaining constant!

Next week! I port matched the stocker and installed it Sunday. That's the only change at all until after the next dyno. She's definitely picked up some of the low end torque she lost, but, still climbs like a ***** ape to the 6500 shift point. The cams are doing their job and the PSRI was too much for this small bore vacuum! Thanks for your help btw! :)

Racer numbers arent bad. You gained say 40/50rwhp from a forged 281ci, ported heads, 98 cobra cams, Shorty's mid pipe swap exhaust, and a PSRI. IMO your better off without the stroker; gains aren't super huge (10-15rw) for the money. You got the motor now SC that SOB:burnout:
And enjoy!

Yeah, I'm 100% on board the sc list. Now I need to get that budget past the wife! :D I have the vacuum/boost gauge allready installed. :P Maybe I can rig an invertor to a leaf blower and sc her that way.

Those are good HP numbers Bill, what did you get for TQ?
Also which type of SC? Roots, Lynsholm, Centri?

Tq was only 278, maybe a Reinhart kit... Calling Todd (NA SVT) this weekend for other ideas on what's holding her back N/A. I'll post the dyno sheet up this weekend. The graph is beautiful, just need the numbers higher!

I believe I told Sean he had first dibs back on it. If not, or he doesn't want it, you'll be first. ;)
