I have bought two sets of fronts over the years and both times I paid $87 each from tire rack. Now they are $154 each!!!!!!!WTF? I'm just about ready to park this pig and just drive the Escort. Any of you find any better deals out there for BFG? Sorry, I have NO interest in anything else, so don't bother going there.

It's Obama's fault. I'm not being flip. I am serious.

Yea I was paying the same, just recently I had an inspection and my guy tells me I need a new front (I knew it) anyway he says $195 mtd and balanced I am shocked at his greed :(, tell him no thanks and priced em up myself, needless to say I was again shocked that I couldnt get them to my door for less than $175...I took it back to Vince and thanked him for the competitive pricing :D

I love my BFG's. Great tire. Or maybe my car is just so perfectly maintained.

Hi DeadVic
My tires say Made In The USA on them and I am not sure you could call zee rated tires for a Marauder "low end", so I think your jab at the president doesn't hold water.

Obama is taxing tires now? This fool has finally lost his mind. I think at one time he was trying to tax the air that we breath. Hes spending billions of dollars on anything not meaningful and trying to tax everything.

Having the same experience. $197 each for the fronts. Could get them cheaper on Tirerack but then I still have to pay shipping, mounting and balancing. Only comes in a few bucks cheaper. I was gonna get all four even though there is a few miles left on the rears but at these prices I just got the fronts!

I could not find any new deals this last time.
On E-bay I found four mounted on Marauder like Mustang rims for just a little more than the cost of two tires & installation.
I had to drive to Dearborn Michigan to get them.
No other fees, just bolt them on and smile.
One does have the centercap sticking out but if I feel annoyed, I quickly remind myself, I got them really cheap.

Found the same massive price hike when I put new tires on Phoebe earlier this year. Went with stockers for the back, but found some Pirellis for the front with specs that were slightly better and the price slightly lower, but not by much.
price of oil that is used to make rubber for tires is higherMaybe I should put 24s on it...the tires for those have hardly any rubber so they should be dirt cheap. :D

Rather than go into the economic theory behind my statement and bore everyone to death, I will just say as the tide rises so do all ships. All tires are more expensive thanks to this move by our president.

The new Mustangs have our fronts on all four corners. Maybe the supply is down because of this and therefore they've raised the price?

...and everyone wants more US jobs...this is the cost. I myself see it as a good move, but I dont drive a car with "cheap tires". I must say that 35% is not "Double" as this is import fees(do the math on actual consumer fallout) but blame whoever...if all you care about is cheap tires then complain. I care about millions of Americans without jobs because of foreign affairs.

The ones I bought were for the rear as my 5 month old ones are SHOT. I'm gonna drive the baldies anyways and save those for next season or sell them with the car if I decide to sell. I don't drive in the rain usually anyways and the snows will be on in a couple months.

I had a few of those over the course of my navy career. I'd like to think I improved foreign relations, while at the same time reminding the women why the USA is considered a super power. Gigitty.

Craigslist your tire size and go from there.
The fronts on mine I bought for $45 for the both of them. $45 total! They were used, but I didn't care. I bought a set of four front tires for $100 once too.
Craig is your friend.
