The wife and I are back at the hotel from the laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Was not sure whether to go or not since the Indy track lap, and I am having Kidney stone problems. But BOY am I glad we did. I got up to 98MPH on the back stretch. We got to do 5 laps too. It was the most fun I have had in awhile. It felt strange driving on the banks but I kind of got used to it. Did not want to come in off the track when we were done. This is definately more fun that the last Marauderville. Even got to see Dom do his high jump to his car. Maybe he will fill in the details later. Sorry some of you had to cancel I know how that feels. I look forward to next year.

You should have backed off more. I reached about 105. Rumor has it that someone hit 140 on the back stretch.

It was the most fun you could have with your clothes on!

I hit 105+ coming out of turn 4 on to the front stretch. Any faster and I would have had to pass the pace car......

We actually got to run 10 laps total.

I got up to 105...what a blast. Got to go twice for a total of 10 laps. Some minor glitches in the "secure" parking lot at the Hilton...my car got booted one night...can you say Haggis? Last night someone mysteriously put "go Navy" beneath my Eagle Globe and Anchor...can you say CBT?

It was great getting to meet y'all as well. The second 5 laps made the weekend for me! My father in law was very jealous today when I showed him the video. I told him he needs to go buy a Marauder and he could join us!:D Thanks again for going to bat to get us back out there!:bows:

Wow, I might have to come next year if you are doing the track again. What was the pace car? Sounds like you could go as fast as you wanted to? Did anyone get passed?

Toyota something or another, and the chase car was a Toyota Highlander. Kyle, the track guy said no passing, but there was some side by side action, fo sho. Seeing Sherman rip by with those front tires about as wide as a post it note was insane, I don't know how that car even turned in the corners, lol.

Pace car was some toyota hybrid piece of crap..... that's probably why they "limited" us to 85mph.

If you were "creative" you could go much faster............. rumor is that someone hit 140. I did 105+

To my knowledge no one got passed, some could have gotten passed and there was some running 2-wide in the turns.

Unless a there is divine intervention, MV 9 won't be in Charlotte, so unfortunately you missed what might have been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Try not to do it in the same place twice (at least back to back). Once in a life time opportunity was definately missed.

I had a blast!!!

You never know what you'll miss if you don't attend.

The "Sherminator" sounded sick when he used the start/finish line as the tree and opened that dog up. Wish i had got a video.

Gordon (Haggis) hit 120 on the back straight, he went high in turns one and two then dived down and caught up to Blown3.8 before three and backed off instead of passing him.

What a BLAST! and I'll second the most fun with your clothes on comment! I know I did 105 at one point and was faster at another spot but didn't look because I was catching the the guy infront of me too quick and had to get on the binders or pass him.

Rod was my co-pilot and said I was hitting about 105 on the back straight the first time out. Second set of laps was a little slower but still pretty darn fun! Silversurfer had the high line and I had the low line going thru the turns in formation. I think the hardest part was making sure you didnt rearend the car in front of you going into turn 3!

Yep, I'm pretty sure that was the time I knew I was going too fast. :D
