Has anyone here (more so in Ontario), failed an emissions test by removing the 2nd set of cats but leaving in the original ones before the O2 sensors?
So many so it's fine...but I don't know if that's because they installed high-flows; or just eliminated the 2nd set altogether.

I am putting on long tube headers and will have to install 2 aftermarket cats. We shall see if it passes next year.

I'm trying to avoid the high-flows as they REALLY up the price of the job.
Curious scruff...did you do anything to any of the piping after the new cats? If so...what; also important...what size piping?

Got one:
when you removed the 2nd set of cats, what was done with the piping after the straight pipe was put in?
Did you leave it all alone?
did you change the size (from 2.25" to 2.5")?

i removed my rear cats passed with flying colours, yours should too as long as everything is working properly and your front cats arn't toast. I just removed mine and put straight pipes in.

Did you redue the piping after the delete with 2.5" to your Cherry Bombs; or did you just leave what was there?

My front cats were toast so i cut everything out and had custom 2.25 pipes made from the exhaust manifolds back installed 2 magnaflow high flows 2.25 custom x pipe installed 2 magnaflow mufflers 2.25 in/out and 2.25 tail pipes cost 1200.00 bones ,,,

Maybe someone can answer this one.
It would seem that these cars run better for everyday driving with 2.25" piping all the way through.
My '91 Mustang - when I had the catback installed 20 years ago - everybody upgraded to 2.5" FROM 2.25".
Why would a car the size of the Marauder be happier on a smaller exhaust system?
Even the Flowmaster and Magnaflow upgrades to my '07 Dodge Magnum go from 2.25" to 2.5"...and that's a V6!
I'm not understanding something here!
