I finally got my alignment done but it wasn't easy.
Took the car to the shop 4 months ago, checked the tire pressure, flags removed should be a piece of cake right.
Left front camber before -1.1 after -0.8 Right front camber before -0.7 after -0.6
They tell me this is the best they can do :(
So after searching and searching for answers I decide my only option is to
modify the crossmember.
N EW SPECS
LEFT FRONT RIGHT FRONT
Caster 6.0 Caster 6.3
Camber 0.0 Camber 0.0
Toe 0.0 Toe 0.0

How much did you grind off? I'll be getting mine done soon if it's as simple as that I will just do it home then take it in for the alignment.
What shady shop did you take it to?

I don't know, doing that to your K-member doesn't seem to safe to me.

I dont agree with that.
Ive owned 5 Marauders, all having 1 coil cut off the stock springs.
Every single one of them have been aligned to factory specs with no inner tire were.....EVER

Mine is WAY off still. It was done at Firestone Complete Car Care THREE times! My bolts are currently rotated as far as they can go and the tires are still dipped horribly bad. I was one of the lucky few that never once had inner tire wear issues till I lowered it. Thanks Doug, I was wondering when you were gonna post these pics.
Weren't you still limited by the washer? I figured you would've had to ground that down as well?

I'm doing the same once the Naakes are installed. JMan is going to hook me up as he had to do this to get his Vic aligned after installing Eibachs.

I don't have an issue with any wear. Very, very slight pull to right, but I don't want to mess with it and screw things up.

There all a little shady aren't they?

I ended up grinding 1/2" off the P side 3/8" off the D side (this is off the front and backside of the crossmember) and it still wouldn't come in.
Now it looks like the bolt washer is butting up against the milled out part of the crossmember. I try grinding the washer down some but I need way more than this and don't want to weaken the bolt any so now I'm forced to carve and flatten out the crossmember to allow enough bolt movement.
Oh and did I mention that these LCA bolts are a PITA to get out? You have to lossen the rack and pull it out as far as it will go to get enough room.
Somebody needs to come up with some adjustable UCA so you don't have to chop up you car just to get the alignment right.
I can post up more pics of the end results but it ain't pretty.

I wonder with enough interest if Global West Suspension would design something for us. They are the company that supplied the suspension for the 68 mustang fastback track car on Horsepower TV. Super slick and easy design using tubular steel lower control arms with threaded ends and a jam nut to have complete control over the camber settings. I wasn't able to find a picture doing a quick search, but obviously it's well documented somewhere on the nets.
Wasn't sparta taking interest in doing arms? I remember commenting that they really needed to be fully adjustable for this very reason.

When I did mine I just kept enlarging the slot until the washer could spin completely around. But even after that I still had tire wear with a new alignment. Then I brought it to a lincoln mercury dealer who got the toe perfect and my tire wear is great now.
