Is there a favorite rear end gear oil for the stock Marauder rear end?

I use Redline 75w140. It's a synthetic fluid so you don't need to add any friction modifier.

Red Line is good...as are Royal Purple and Motorcraft. I used Valvoline 75W-140 when I replaced the axles shafts in Phoebe. It also has the FM built in.

I used Royal Purple, no issues.

I've used Amsoil (didn't have to add modifier), with no issues either.
Just get a good one, and you'll be fine.

Make sure the bottle has "LS" (Limited Slip) printed on the label.

This signifies friction modifier is added.

I went with 75w140 Mobile 1 Synthetic.

Motorcraft plus FM, Mobil 1, Red Line, Royal Purple, Valvoline and Amsoil will all work as long as it is 75w-140 and like MM2004 said the LS (Limited Slip) signifies friction modifier is added.

Factory rear axle with stock diff cover will take 2.75 quarts and I would do no more than 3 quarts if you have added new aftermarket diff cover. Make sure to use the fill plug on the rear axle itself and not the one of an aftermarket diff cover.

My mechanic and friends all recommended Royal Purple. I used Royal Purple 4 years ago with no problems.

just wondering why you dont use the fill plug on the aftermarket diff cover, my MOSER one i have for my CVPI looks to be a the same fill height as the one on the axle housing... just want to know -Brandon :)
