Hey guys, I will post pictures later today......Here goes, i`m going to see what my very very clean original numbers matching 440 Super Commando GTX might bring in....My garage is always getting smaller and I really don't drive her as much as I should anymore. I am certain there are several people out there that would jump at the chance to own her (my uncle will probably kill me).

Last I looked it had 52k Original miles (and change on it), I dont know what the color to call it other than "root beer" its got the 440 hood and the 727 3 speed automatic transmission. It is a factory air car, also has the optional 6 or 8 way adjustable drivers seat and the front fender directional (turn signal) indicators.

Overall for a 41 yr old car I would say its near mint,my uncle owned the car since new and always kept it like one of his children..I have done the same since it became mine... The carpet is good, the 2 bucket seats are near excellent,as is the rear bench and they are "caramel" in color...The factory am radio has not been touched, but a newer style am/fm/cd player was installed in the glove box, out of sight w/no unsightly holes drilled.

As my uncle got later on in years was talked into removing the a/c, installing a high rise intake and a barry grant carb, along with hooker headers and full custom exhaust....Thankfully he kept the original parts which I have.

It runs like a top, and starts right up every time,I have a battery tender on it @ all times while she is in my garage..

I am in no rush to sell her, i`m looking for a serious MOPAR person with 35k

here is a pic I just found on this computer will take time later on today to post more

Thank you Zack and Marty........this is true, the car is indeed 1 of a kind
it has only 1 scratch that I know of.

But with a 24x24 garage and no height for a lift I am shy on room
plain and simple.... I would like to keep it, really don`t need or want to sell it,it all comes down to what I drive/enjoy and the space we have here @ the house.

I will only sell it to a person who is in love with it for what it is....

thanks again for the positive comments

Thanks CBT , I was going to go that route a few years ago, but then made room in the garage by selling one of my other toys....

In my opinion it would need the engine pulled and the bay glass beaded and painted, engine dropped back in and then might be worthy of that auction.....The cars I see roll through there are super high end,my car is near mint with the exception of what I described..

If the car is a Survivor with all(or mostly)original parts and paint you don't want to touch anything other than a cleanup. Pull the motor and refresh the engine compartment and you LOWER the value. Just need the right buyer! Best of luck!

It's only original once!!

I wish I could see the pictures! I'm at work and they get filtered out. That has always been one of my favorite cars...2nd to the 1969 GTO Judge. I sold my early 70's Mustang last year and I might be in the market for something like this. I'll check the pictures out when I get home.

Might be worth getting a report(Galin-Govier?)to see exactly how rare the vehicle is. Will be easier to sell! Put all the stock parts back on first(AC)

That's an awesome car man. A quick wander through Hemmings found a few of them, mostly going for $40k+ (there's a Hemi car on there for $160k!). The longer you keep it, the more it'll be worth, especially since it's a Plymouth.
I think you'll be hard pressed to find a "Mopar or Nocar" nut in here. Most of these folks bleed Ford blue.

I'm not the biggest Mopar fan, but even so, I must say that if you sell that, some day you will hate yourself for it. It looks like a very nice, original car, and if you ever have seller's regret, it would be very difficult to get it back, or another like it. The fact that it belonged to a family member makes it even more irreplaceable because of the (hopefully good) memories that may be attached to it.

+1
If I had a quarter for every time I've whined about selling my '68 Charger (not even an R/T), I'd be rich! Boy was THAT a mistake.
If you're not feelin the love for that beauty now, put it away somewhere safe for a year or so. Then go back to it. If you don't look at her and say, "Thank God she's mine!" then maybe consider selling. If you do, ask HIGH!!
My 2 cents.

Of all the cars I have had my 69 RR is the one I wish i never sold. The next one will be a GTX Vert.
Keep it. If not definitely do the GTS (Galen Tag Service) before trying to sell it. A GTX survivor can bring some big bux with a good survey and known history.
It is 3-400 for a number run or about 1600 for the full rundown.
I'm doing it (GTS) on the 71RR I am prepping for Barrett Jackson.
