Inspired by MMarauder03, I have a question about my 1/4 mile too. Don't want to hijack his thread........

I'm going to Union Grove, WI for the first time in my life to race on Oct. 3. With this small list of mods, what do you think my time/mph will be?

With your mods in the cooler temps will net you consistant 14.45's with maybe a 14.30's depending on your cool down time. MPH will be around mid 90's, maybe a 96-97 if lucky. I have your mods plus 3K stall convertor, pullies, EMP WP, intake spacer, and a throttlebody and I ran consistant 13.7s while hot-lapping with a 13.6 after letting the car cool down completely.

Broke out not long after I joined the site. The car was 100% stock at the time. I would have gotten the supercharger by now if money wasn't an issue. The thing is, I could sell my car and get a supercharged one with less miles for less than what I would have to pay to s/c mine.

My car with mods and 114k $8500 ?
Trilogy supercharger 5000 ?
Installation 1500 ?
Total 15,000 ?
And my car needs a paint job. Not horribly though.

For around 15k, I could get a nicely tricked out, supercharged MM with way less miles. But I have an attachment to my car that has value to it as well.
More than likely, I will just sell it and buy another one when my business gets better.

Im in the same boat as you, but Im attached to my car. I could have sold it with a dead motor and with the money I spent to repair it plus the money for the car, I could have gotten a SC Marauder as well. I guess I'd prefer to drive a car that I know everything that was done to it.
Plus I like the challenge of making it faster while staying NA.

Stay out of the water box and launch at 1,200-1,500rpm with about 30PSI in the rears and 38PSI in the front tires. If it is your first run, you can launch from idle and this will give you one less thing to worry about or watch and you can concentrate on the tree.
Unload the spare tire, jack, and crap in your trunk. 1/4 tank of fuel. Put your passenger seat all the way back with the back fully reclined and
windshield washer fluid empty. 8# off the front left and 8# more on the right rear. One 2" strip of blu tape to block off the top portion of the grill, LOL.
Air conditioning off.
Overdrive off. Overdrive off, Overdrive off
Check your oil.
Seat belt on, long sleeve shirt, gloves are good, don't forget to eat something.
Drive straight and watch the other caronly after the finish line.

DO NOT RUN WITH 1/4 Tank or less.

Go with 1/2 or more. Although its unlikely, you run the risk of draining the basket in the bottom of the tank at WOT for extended periods of time.
