Hi,

I want to get my tires balanced but I dont trust 99% of places. All too often the car comes back with a scratch or a tear in the fabric or worse. :(

I'd rather lift the car at home and take the wheels to them.

I've been reading threads on lifting the car from the designated lift points indicated by the arrows, lifting it by the "pumpkin", turning off the suspension...

Can someone tell me where the switch for the suspension is? Apparently its in the trunk somewhere?

As far as the actual lifting, I am thinking about lifting the car under the frame near the designated jacking points as indicated by the arrows on the plastic trim near the rocker panels.

Assuming thats ok to do, can I also place a jack stand near that same point to support the car?

Thank you.

switch is in the trunk, on the left, can't really miss it. Also the car comes with tires are different sizes front to back

I found it. Cool, thanks. Does it make any difference if my battery is disconnected?

Any thoughts on lifting it?

If you disconnect the battery it won't make a difference if you turn the switch off of not, other than that no difference

lifting at the arrows is fine, so is using the rear end, just don't hit the cover.

I like to lift at the torque boxes (like the manual shows), and put the stand cradle at the rear of the frame rail, just forward of the torque box.

i lift mine and other with air suspension at work all the time... doesnt hurt anything... just give it time to air the system back up when you put it back on the ground and fire it up.

Ok. Thanks for the feedback.

Will need to look up the torque box locations.

Im wondering if I should connect the battery, then turn off the suspension before the lift and turn it back on after...hmmmm.

Follow the lifting procedure in the owners manual.

Why disconnect the battery? Just turn off the air suspension before placing the car on a lift or jacking the rear end up.

Thats a good point. Actually, the battery is disconnected because the car is in storage. Thats why I thought that maybe I should re-connect it for the lift.
