I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere but I can't find it through searching. Anyone use an aftermarket interface for an I-pod with the stock radio? I had one in my old car that took the place of the disc changer and worked great. Assuming I can do the same with the Marauder?

I bought one from this place and I love it. Steering wheel controls work too for the iPod. And charges it too. Works on my iPhone too. But does not charge my phone I think it was $120.

I bought mine from this place. I called them to find out all the info and then I ordered. It allows me to use the steering wheel and radio controls to control my iPod Classic.

I got a the tape player tape insert with a cord and earphone jack from Radio Shack.
Inserted it into my tape player slot in the radio, connected the jack into the iPod earphone hole and it plays great. Very inexpensive.

But it doesn't sound as good as the other units mentioned and you can't control the iPod with the radio controls.

I am presently on my second failing stock radio. First the AM goes away (news radio and traffic programs), then, the FM goes away. When the volume on the CD player starts to go, I got a new radio.
I tried getting an aftermarket (Crutchfield) but either I can't control the CD changer in the trunk (which works fine), or I can't have steering wheel control for less than $ 90.00 extra. I want to add my iPod, but then I can't have the CD changer.
Has anyone got a solution, other than me singing to myself???

Ditch the CD changer. You have an iPod. No need for CD's except for transfering the music to you iPod.
When I play my iPod. The stock stereo system sounds so much better.

I installed a 60gb music keg in place of the CD changer.

Hi -
Has anyone connected either of these with a CD changer already installed (I have one)?:

Are they plug and play with only the removal of the radio or is additional wiring necessary?
Thanks!

It plugs in to the back of the radio where the cd changer plugs into. So you can only have one or the other. Ditch the cd changer. I thought I had to remove some plastic in the dash behind the radio to fit all the wiring. I routed my iPod cable under the center console. I drilled a hole in the storage compartment and just routed the wire under the center console and up into the dash area.

Thanks!
I was thinking that I'd keep it in the center console.
