If the LCM craps out do the fog lites go with it or just the head lites?

The typical LCM failure only will involve the low beams and then the high beams with the exception of the high-beam flasher (translated: pushing the control lever forward won't work, but pulling it back will. Odd, I know). Fog lights should be fine.

Most LCM relay failures involve just the headlights, although the LCM controls all the lights, interior & exterior, except the brake lights.

quite a few different combinations can go out, I lost all lights other than tail lights. That included interior and dash lights.

I had my lights flicker on and off on there own. I even had a few people start pulling over when I was behind them. It would also click all the time under the steering column.

That clicking is the headlight relay inside the LCM.

I had the dealer replace it back when it was covered. Next time it will be sent to you.

Does the LCM also control the wiper delay/wash/park functions?

It might. I'll have to research that.

It might. I'll have to research that.

This is what I can find:

The LCM controls the turn signals, low beam headlights, high beam headlights, parking lamps and demand lighting output. Also seatbelt/headlight/airbag audible warning buzzer. Besides the controlling the lighting, the LCM also controls rear window defroster, but the relay for defroster is located in the engine bay and not on the LCM circuit boards like the rest of the relays.

Wacky wipers? I had that replaced also by the dealer. It was all the crap that collects in the trap door by the wiper motor and caused my wipers to come on and just stop when they felt like it. A new wiper motor repaired that.

The wipers only work on the two steady on speeds.
The wash and delay don't work at all and you have to turn them off at just the right point to get them in the parked position.
When they are off they are off.
I keep the wiper motor/transmission area clear of debris because I had that problem on my '92 CV a long time ago.
I will check it again as this problem started right after the heavy rains.

Time for a new motor its sounding like. My mothers 92 GM had that problem. You have to go OEM though because after changing out 3 aftermarket wiper motors, the OEM was the only one that brought the wipers to rest on the cowl.

Krytin

The '92 had a mechanical indent/pawl that the linkage caught on to park.
Dirt/debris in the cowl would wear the detent out and no park - wipers would stop almost straight up no matter when you shut them off.

Mine are stopping anywhere on the windshield that I shut them off at.
This leads me to believe that Ford may have eliminated the mechanical park and gone to an electronic method. One way or another I'll get to the bottom of this!

Defintely Wacky Wiper symptom. I had the exact same issues.

Richy04's fix will do the trick.

A new LCM is in the $500.00 - $700.00 range

Or I can repair it for much less $$$.

LCM Removal:

The LCM is about the size of a brick and is located just to the right of the steering column, in front of the gas pedal. There are 3 electrical connectors on the LCM.
Remove the bottom two connectors by depressing the tab and pulling on the connector.
Removal the 2 mounting screws with a 7mm nut driver or socket. Push the LCM towards the gas pedal while rotating it up towards the roof. Once it’s free of the bracket, pull the LCM down towards the floor. You should now be able to release the last electrical connector.
