sure am...the pull on a stock cobra with the 3.55 is amazing. on your car with 4.10s i can only imagine sideways after downsifting into 3rd :burnout:

I think it's the GM version of the T-56 that has a nutso 6th .50 or something like that. Oh and when you get the manual in send me pics ;) Or just let me know how you do the pedals. T-56 is prob my next mod, can't go faster without a cage, gotta do something. :banana2:

A lot of Work, the car is now a chore to drive, it will be slower at the track AND on the street, no matter how beefed up the axles are the shock will be so great the rear end will hop and snap the axles....

The weight is the problem Dave. Pauls High Performance broke rearends and transmissions over it. They put a rearend from a limo in it and you know the transmission story. They also had more power than what you are running. Its a tough call!!:)

hmm maybe ill pick my tuners brain a bit more, im sure hes sick of hearing from me by now. i didnt realize they had so many problems. i also didnt realize the cobras were as light as they are, a mere 3600lbs. thats close to a 1000 less then my car empty.....

the GT500 weighs just about as much as the marauder, look into using whatever they use in that. PS wasn't paul using a T-45 at first? Mustangs with under 300hp break those anyway :D

Auto sucks ass until you drive something different, then suddenly its awesome again.

I don't care about it being slower at the track, that's not what I do with the car. Nor do I drive it daily so the clutch dosnt bother me. I want the car to be more fun to drive and a manual is what it needs. Dosnt have to be at56, was just my first choice. I certainly don't want issues reliability is first and foremost.

I'm really interested in the swap, I have an itch to bang gears as this is one of my first automatics and still find myself reaching for the shifter and clutch sometimes. Keep us posted on how things go, reliability issues and what transmission you decide to go with.

my car was just a 2v and i had a t45(def would not use it in a marauder) in it but i never had a problem with it and i wasnt easy on it.
just do it dave, you will enjoy the car so much more, and its just awesome

oh and about reliability with a t56. theres a member on here georges93lx that has a t56 behind his lightning swapped crown vic, might want to get up with him to see if he's had problems or not.
