Ok, it's getting chilly out now as we all know. Went to turn on the heat in the mm just to knock the chill off, and nothing but cold air. I pushed the red button and waited a few min and still nothing. I searched the sight, but came up short on a possiable fix. Anyone else ever had this problem and what was the fix.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I checked the coolant level and it's good. This summer i had bought "pop's" upper and lower intake. Had them polished and reinstalled. No leaks, and all levels are in order. It's just frustrating that it doesn't work. :censor:

Checking the coolant level is not the same as air in the system. The cooling system made need to be burped.

Thanks guy's, I'll dump the system and let you know what happens. It needs some fresh coolant before winter anyway.

No need to dump anything....just raise up the front end a bit and remove the cap on the crossover tube and refill from there...then replace the cap and wa la...system burped.

Don't shoot the messenger, but hopefully you don't have the dreaded blend-door problem...

I have the blend door problem I think. Does the dash have to be pulled to fix it? Is there any other way?

Do you hear the blend door moving? Expensive fix.

Yes, the air flow for the defrost and the dash vents work as well as the floor vents. So I'd imagine that the blend door is moving?

Not the same. The blender door switches the temperature. Try the self test. I believe its COLD, AUTO and OFF. It will sweep all the doors and will flash a code if something is wrong. My crown vic blender door was stuck on hot in the middle of the summer. I did the test and it freed the blender door up and I had AC for the entire summer. When it failed, I did it again.

Thanks for the help jabird56. But Does this control the heat as well? From what I read this only worked the a/c?

I have defrost, I hit the vent button. It swtiches to vent. I hit the floor button, air blows out the floor vents with no problems. I hit the defrost and floor. it switches over no problems. the thing blows like my ol'lady when she was 20, no problems, except the heat's NOT BLOWING.
I'm parking this pile of s--t till spring........lol:mad2:

moving from floor/vent/defrost is only proving that your MODE DOOR is working properly. the TEMPERATURE BLEND DOOR controls hot and cold air. I have replaced many blend door actuators in Ford products. that is most likely your problem

This is what I found. It runs around $35.00.
Could this be a step in the right direction? They called it a "Air Flap Actuator".......I immagine that's the same thing?
Thanks for all the help to guy's.
