OK, I have found a guy that will make custom emblems for the Marauder. A guy saw a picture of My engine with the Eaton swap and sent an email about them. I had him send me one and it looks factory. He can even do different colors. If anyone is interested I can email you the info. I'm not trying to sell em I just told him I would let everyone know. I took a picture with my phone hopefully you can see it ok.
Here is a link just tell him what you want.

Actually, that's a good question. The more I look at the emblem the more I think I like it. Who cares if it isn't an SVT? People put all kinds of emblems and stickers on Marauders. S-55, Cobra emblems, Police Interceptor, SCT, Harley, Marine Corps, to each thier own.

I still say, if our MM was a CV with a 4V motor off the assembly line, you bet your ass it would of had an SVT badge on the back.

Hey hey it was cold out!

BTW: I'm not a big fan of badges that really don't belong on the vehicle...there is already enough confusion about what a Marauder is.
I'd leave those add-on type badges to the CV guys. But, hey...to each his own.

If people really understand what SVT was/is, there's no way you could ever consider a Marauder an SVT vehicle.

So, a Marauder couldn't possibly be considered a specially tuned version of a production vehicle? I know it wasn't offered under the SVT program, but IMO it looks like it meets the criteria.

The Special Vehilce Team are the ones that would take an existing ford vechile and make it high performance.... how does the marauder not fit into that other than it being a mercury?
oh thats right, there was alot of other full size cars that ford decided to make custom interiors, wheels, bumpers, and such, forgot about those.
Lets not forget about others that deserved it so much, like the SVT contour, it was so high performance.... oh and the focus with 170hp... i bet it does wheelies  and it wears an svt badge.
LOOK, all im really saying (and if you cant comprehend it then too bad) is that the idea of our car may not have come from inside the SVT department but another design department, and that they wear a mercury badge, is the only reason they arnt an SVT vehicle.

The SVT vehicle motors were HAND-BUILT on a niche line by two individuals, and with 4V applications, has their initials stamped on the cam cover..
Not "on an assembly line".
Just because a vehicle is "specially tuned" does not make it an SVT vehicle.
And is a Marauder "specially tuned" from the factory?
Aren't they all?
SVT is a factory badge. That means that it was released from the factory in that condition. If you have done mods, then it was changed from its stock configuration.
If you changed it from its stock configuration and are happy with it, why would you give FoMoCo the credit, when it was YOU who made it happen?
Especially after FoMoCo turned its back on the MM the way they did.
If the motor in your MM was not built by SVT, then there is no reason to put badges saying that they did.
If you built your own motor, why would you give SVT credit for it?
That is the whole point.
If you have missed this point, I really don't know what to say.
SVT has done so many vehicles(Focus, Contour, Lightning, Cobra, etc., ) and they didn't do Mach 1s, and they didn't do Marauders, either.

I think it'd be cool if someone could do an emblem similar to this one below with marauder written in instead of high performance, or maybe marauder in the middle like the svt ones. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=4.6+emblem&qpvt=4.6+emblem&FORM=Z7FD#focal=a92a771adaa603 12bfaa3602d8306d1c&furl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.myhotmus tang.com%2FproductImages_thumb BIG%2F12420848953804108.jpg

But the reman althoug done by Ford was not done by SVT. Can I put a Reman SVT badge?
Can he make a Reman SVT badge.
My wife has a Honda Pilot, although it is alomst paid for could I put a Honda SVT badge on it? It has a 3.5 V-6, didn't the Contour SVT have a V-6?

Personally, I think the idea of an SVT Marauder badge is neat. There's a few guys with Cobra snake badging on their Marauders, and I kinda like that look, too.
That type of badging is subtle, but it gets the point across to anyone paying attention to detail that the badged vehicle has "lagniappe".... ;)

Yes, I believe this is a knock at my Marauder because when I bought it it had a red "R" on the back that I inherited along with some stickers. Got the stickers removed, but wasn't able to get the "R" off though saw a post about trying fishing line, so I am going to give that a try when I have some time.
The SVT badge or Cobra Badge is not my taste, but when you pay money for a car, IMHO you can put on whatever you want.

total rice.
Putting Shelby Cobra badges on a Pinto - does not make that Pinto a Shelby, no matter if it's jet-powered and can do 300MPH.
Shelby never made Pintos, and SVT never made Marauders.
All this does is create confusion:
"Yeah SVT did too make Marauders, I seen a guy with one. It said SVT right on it".
You get the idea.
Some of the same people who get pissed when someone with a CV/MGM wants to make a Marauder clone think it's perfectly OK to do the same thing to a MM, WTF?
Obviously opinions differ, and people are free to do as they wish to their own property. Just know that there are people who view this as a total joke and a huge bowl of rice.

I was thinking of getting a custom rear bumper made with "MARAUDER-L AWD" embossed on it. Good idea huh? :rasta:
At the end of the day, it's your car. Make it yours any way you want to. You are never going to win the respect and admiration of everyone. There are a ton of people out there who think we are all posers just for driving a Marauder in the first place. You know what? I DON'T CARE. Just because I don't like any badges of any kind on my cars doesn't make me better than someone who adorns their car with them. It's a free country! :twocents:
Why are we "posers" for driving a Marauder?
I think you've done too much of this ---> :rasta:

I don't think there is anything wrong with adding anything SVT to our Marauders. As a matter of fact, I swapped out the ugly center caps in the wheels for a set of SVT caps and everyone that has seen the change prefers it since the Black backgroung and silver letters compliment the Black car and polished wheels of the Marauder. To each his own, I say.
Tom I think I met you at Milan in June. How did you wind up racing. You were still going when I left!

I agree with the anti-badge sentiment. I'd rather someone ask me what the hell it was, than see a bunch of non-factory crap stuck on my car and be even more confused.
FWIW, the people that have asked about my car, knew what the hell it was without needing a bunch of decals to strike up a conversation.
