Well I finally got my exhaust done yesterday afternoon.

I ended up deciding on: 2.25" piping; 2nd cat delete; and Flowmaster 50's.

I went with 2.25" piping so I wouldn't loose much bottom end (as I will never be able to afford a blower for it). Deleted the 2nd cats for flow - I checked out Mustangs and Charger/Magnums and found none of these have 2nd cats at all...so I figured I was safe there; and the 50's were suggested after going back and forth with those and Delta 40's.
The shop suggested that getting rid of the rear cats would "up" the volume a bit, so the 50's were better for me.
I told them I wanted a nicer sound than stock, but did not want to "make a statement" when driving.

These 50's are great! On the pedal, they have that Flowmaster sound I wanted (I really like it), but once up to speed, they quite right down. No drone at all. (Not like my Mustang that makes it hard to talk in the car!).

This might all seem very "plain-jane" to some of you out there, but I am just really happy with what I've chosen.
So thanks again everyone for the advice and help.
Pics to come.

Aluminumzed piping and crush bent. :(

They should of moved the mid-pipe crossover tube closer to the rear some.

^^^ yah I kinda thought the same about the "h" pipe too. No huge deal.
I couldn't find anyone around here that even did Mandrel bending so crushed bends is what I had to have. For my purposes it won't make much difference anyway.

Rockettman, thanks for the update. It's great to see what others do. I'll probably do high flow cats (or cat delete) and and upsize the pipe from the 2nd cat to the next flange and call it good.

Congrats!

Right, as long as it gives you a grin then that's all that really matters.

Zoro Muffler in Hamilton, ON is where I went! They have other locations in Canada - Geesh I'm in NY and had to go to Canada for decent exhaust work. (stainless, mandrel)

Still the job the shop did on your exhaust looks great. I can't believe they took your rear cats off (lol) Looks good and I'm sure is much less restrictive than the factory pipes were.

Does removing the second set of cats have any negative effects? (Besides emissions)

No negative effects as far as I know. I've done some reading on the subject. Seems to be most economical way of reducing restriction and improving sound.
