Repost but worth discussing.

The only real cool thing about this trans is the paddle shifters,

You can get a built TH400 with a JW Ultra Bell, combined with a Gear Vendors and a ratchet shifter for under 6k.....and it will be twice as strong as the TCI

I agree with the th400 and gear vendors. My cousin spent thousands on a built 4r100 for his 351w powered f-100. With that combo he ran 11.9 on the winter in south Florida. By the summer he had swapped it for a th400 with gear vendors and on a 90* day he was running consistant 11.6 with no other mods done. Oh and gained 2mpg on the highway.
