I was talking with a bodyman/painter who claims he customized the rear bumper on a black Marauder some time ago.
He said the guy who owned the Marauder, wanted the extruded letters in the rear bumper to light up with the brake lamps.
He said he cut the letters out and fitted a piece of plexiglass behind the bumper cover, along with lamps that were tied into the brake lights.
He claimed it looked really nice when all was done.
He sounded somewhat knowledgeable about our cars,At least he knew, that there was more colors offered than Black.
Anybody know or see anything like that?

I had thought about doing something like that a while back ago. Def wouldn't cost over a grand if you are handy with tools and electrical stuff. Just never did it cause wasn't sure if I was going to replace my bumper or not.

Couldn't you just run an led strip down there behind some red plastic? Put a box ever it and seal it, for like less than $100. I'd like to see what this looks like in person, or at least a video.

I think the actual bumper behind the cover would get in the way without cutting into it. I recall seeing something similar online under $500 when I bought my first MM in 06.

If I had a spare bumper cover I'd make one.

Here it is from that same company Gator Customs on a silver birch, They also made a hood scoop that lights up on each side in red letters. the hood alone was $1995.00.

Have to say it looks like they do nice work. I like that hood with the scoop, it would be pretty nice w/o the lettering too.

dang love that hood ,why didnt marauders come from factory with some sort of a sport hood on our cars ? Too much to ask ,it would of gave it more agressive look.
