I am not going SC for awhile, so I am doing my homework. Anyone out there running a turbocharger? The following link has peeked my interest but I am clueless to the install and performance. A lot seems to be included in this kit - headers, injectors, etc. It states mild steel headers :( and it gives no performance expectations. Any thoughts? :depress:

I believe that company is out of business. Some folks in here are running that setup

That company doesn't sell or make that anymore . Its much easyier to get one made that works better and looks better . That's my plans in the future since I have found a company here in Florida that can do it for half that cost

We've had a couple turbo'd guys, one of them is juno.
You may want to send him a PM to get some info on his set up.

It seems the sky is the limit on turbo applications. A good reference point is the '03/'04 Cobra conversions. I believe a turbo'd mod engine still falls in the "different" category, you just don't see them near as often as the supercharger cars. I was following the Eaton vs. Vortech thread, until it unfortunately got shut down. This is an interesting spin on that convo, though. Here's a bit of good reading as a primer to get your juices flowing, if anything to show you what a turbo setup is capable of on a mod engine. The MM shortblock is of course not capable of 1,000 hp, but the necessary parts do swap right in. ;)

Necessary turbo parts do not swap right into a Marauder.

I meant the necessary high hp capable parts. Like a Cobra short block. And while you're at it, the better heads too.

Marauder/Mach/Cobra Heads are IDENTICAL

Marauder/Mach/Cobra Heads are IDENTICAL
Thank you for clarifying that. I thought the '03 '04 Cobra heads were better for some reason. Still learning the in's and out's of Mod engines. :o I do know my FE's though. :D

Speaking of Turbos I have often wandered what the new owner of TODD's TT MM is doing with it? Maybe he will chime in! That was one neat MM, and above all not just a Turbo but Twin Turbos

well rich im looking at putting a garret 64mm t4 turbo with a 800hp+ front mount incooler and a turbosmart 50mm wastegate and a 50mm bov.while using 42lb injecter 105mm ajustable mas sensor and ugraded high flow fuel pump. im looking at pushing no more then 10 lbs of boost to keep it safe so i dont blow up the stock motor but hoping to get at lease 475-500 to the rear wheels.im just dont know where to get the piping done for a front mounted turbo system that isnt going to cost two arms and a leg!
