New Grill Emblem

A lil more fine sanding and some gloss black to cover where the old one went but here's my new grill emblem:

Meant to write, that a lil sanding and gloss black paint is still needed. But I'm pretty happy with the result so far.

FBLBITEva: I thought about that, or a decepticon purple with backlighting, but the chrome was what I settled on, kind of keeps the same idea of the chrome mercury emblem.

Yup, I'm 30, an 80's kid. Still basically refusing to do this whole 'grow up' thing. I welcome any criticism, I bought the car from a member on here and needed to make it 'my' car, so there it is. There's too many black MM's in my city alone, needed something a lil different.

Black Noise? Is that you? But yeah, I grew up on the tail end of those 80's cartoon age so not many memories, but I still have the old beat up toys to prove it.

Let the hardliners hate man, it's your car, and you make it yours; there's a hell of a lot worse things that we've all seen on other MMs that we can rally to throw our displeasure at.

Kind of makes me want to make a couple small Decepticon decals to put on the rear stationary windows.

Hahahahahah! I did the exact same thing. I laughed, looked over at his age, then laughed some more.


All kidding aside man, it's your car do what you like. IMO, Marauders shouldn't have their factory appearance changed...EVER. Few cars I can say that about....B-Body Imapla SS, Grand National, and Marauder.

i remeber once i was traveling thru west virginia , and stoped for gas this older couple looked at my car and the lady said look what he did to that grand marquis!

then the husband replied i like it! it should go into production! lol

Had I known I'd be made to feel so ostracized for putting a little of my own personality into my car to make it more discernable from the rest around here, I would've kept my peace and not shared. Oh well, I'm happy with my modification. I plan on being buried in this car so don't see the need to keep everything 100% factory, but for whatever reason that may occur, I can easily put the old emblem back on.

With the new emblem, I get asked less if it started out as a GM and now people simply ask 'what is it?' And everyone so far in person has been pretty accepting.

Paul: I agree, that's one of the best badge mod's I've seen as well, just not my personal style.
