I was coming out of a friend house that lives in the middle of BFE at around 1:30 am went on a wot run thru The gears off course od off and when it was time to shift into third it wasn't there. Then I had to drive 40 miles home in 2nd gear. I'm not sure sshs10 is in the works anymore.:mad2:
This trans is a stage two from bc automotive with 13k miles on it.

Throw the original back in it.

There, fixed it for you. Understand it was a long fraught filled night.

Sucks, perhaps it was too cold - not up to temperature? Did it throw any codes - like the OD light flashing?

I assume its full of fluid and nothing abnormal looking on the stick like air bubbles or a burnt smell?
Id love to see how your trans was setup in the tuning.
My BC Auto trans only has a few hundred miles on it but I dont expect it to live long.
The best 4R70W shop out there now is FB Transmissions.
Good luck!

Sad to hear. :sorry: Maybe he'll make it right for you but I doubt that you'll get any help with the labor costs for swapping the POS. :banghead:

Ouch, I guess my trans is better built than I thought, I better stop bad mouthing it. I'm going on close to 35K Majority of that now over 500 wheel.
A J-Modded Trans and proper tuning will support 500 to the wheels ALL DAY LONG

Sounds like exactly how mine went out. Did it free rev after it tried to shift to 3rd or did it just not ever shift beyond second?

Probably a busted stub shaft. Been there, done that. Twice.

Damn Landy, that sucks. Not sure how bad it is but when mine went it was just the clutches. If it's only a soft rebuild needed I only spent about $500 doing the R&R myself and dropping it of at a local racer who builds transmissions for a lot of the local guys.
Since it was sudden makes me think it is more than just soft parts (clutches and bands). Any big chunks of metal on the drain plug or magnet?
Let me know if you need some help. We'll talk later, I get off around 6:00.

Probably a busted stub shaft. Been there, done that. Twice. I will drop the pan tomorrow and see if there is any metal shavings. Then start taking it out by my self.
Well I dropped the pan and found lots of metal shavings on The magnet. The fluid was very clean when I drained. I'm in no hurry now. **** happens. Also the tranny is making a knocking sound at all times on. So a full rebuild is in my future.
