My transmission seems to be confused. When i'm at the WOT 1-2 shift the car seem confused for a split second almost like it hesitates. It still shifts but it's not firm and really sloppy. I have a tune and I was playing with the shift pressure and rev limiters. I would think that's a possibility for this. I put it all back the way it was and it is still doing it. I even reflashed it twice. Before i changed anything with the tuner it did do it yesterday under a WOT shot. I hope i didn't break it. Any input guys?

Is it possible you set the rev limiter too low and its bouncing off the limiter before the shift? Also when you are going WOT are you spinning the tires then letting it catch? Mine will bounce off the limiter for a second, but if I just ease it out it will hit the points without a issue.

Heres what Im talking about. Listen to the 1-2 shift, I hit the limiter before it shifted.

What is with all this BS suggestive garbage lately?

As it get colds out, the engine makes more power and will graze the rev limiter and cause the problem you are describing.

Raise the rev limiter and the problem will go away.

Rev limiter should be 6500, if it bounces off it on the 1-2 shift raise it up 100-200 rpms.

Doing so fixed my issue since I was running a slightly smaller than stock factory rear tire.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have the rev limiter set at 6300. that's got to be the problem. I'm still going to service the trans tho. I would rather keep up on that and not have to put a new one in soon. I know they are supposed to use Mercon V. Is there something synthetic i can use or should i not get too creative? lol

Oh and i forgot to mention i do run a 235 40 18 out back. It's a very small difference but my 1-2 shift is a very small miscalculation.

maybe you mis stated the size, but that is not a small difference from the stock rear tire. That is actually a very very large difference, somewhere around 3" shorter. . . heck that's shorter than the OEM fronts. Stock rears are around 28" tall, those would be around 25"

Does your shift sound kinda like this at about 0:37 seconds into the video?

Agreed it's the rev limiter - but its never a bad idea to do some maintenance on the trans, looks like a new MM owner with perhaps unknown service history.

Problem fixed... It was the rev limiter. I set it at 6600. It will probably be ok at 6500 too but i just figure going up another 100 rpm won't hurt. I dont remeber it being that high but if thats where its set, thats where it shifts. BTW,My MM is relatively new. I have only had it since March. I don't think i will ever get rid of it. It only has 39k on it and is in awesome shape. Who ever had it before me loved it as much as i do. Mrblugruv, mine did sound a lot like that when it shifted before . That's a nasty NASTY Marauder btw...maybe an exhaust is next on my list ;)

The first video was with just res-delete tips and mufflers. Last week I deleted the rear cats. The sound is louder then I expected.

Yeh, see three days or so after I shot that video my trans gave in. :P The stub shaft shattered into pieces, and it wouldn't go into 3rd or O/D. At 39K miles though, I seriously doubt you'd have to worry about that.

And thanks for the compliment. :) So far as I know I'm the only Marauder running this brand muffler. It's not as loud as others, by a long shot, BUT I think it sounds the most old-school.

Brand called Wicked Flow. I'm not even sure what major brand they fall under either, when I was talked into them I couldn't find any info on the net about them. Still can't seem to find much, other than imports unfortunately.
