I have a sinlge full function key and the Valet key. Is that enough to program a new key, or do I need 2 full function keys?

Sure. Both work in the ignition. Just have the 3rd key cut to the original, not the valet key.

Yep! I've done it myself with no issues.

Excellent. I want more than one full function key.
It'd be nice if someone could come up with a way to program another key when you only have one, paying a dealer $60-$80 bucks ain't going to happen...
I installed a remote start module on my '98 Grand Marquis that has only one key and can now use a std $1.50 hardware store key for it, but I really don't want to do that with the Marauder...

Some locksmiths can program a second key if you have only one key. If you have zero, then it's dealer time for sure.

If you could program another key with just one in hand, it'd be possible for a valet or parking attendant to make a working copy. As it is, since you need two keys, they can't make a working copy.
