I was looking for the trick for removing the stock radios I saw a pic with nails.I searched the site I think I am putting the wrong search terms
because I cant find anything.

There is a tool, like a u coat hanger that simultaneously fits in the 2 holes on each side realsing it. you can get it at any FLAPS.

+1, cost is minimal. Ask for Ford radio removal tool. two pieces, u shapted with special ends. P/N AT-FDRT from Advance auto parts. Labled OEM Radio Removal Tools. Instructrions on package.

Like the above poster said you can get the tool or use the right size nails. Two metal clips on each side of radio that have to be pried. Then pull out.

I bought my pair at an Advanced or Pep Boys in the "Help!" red label tools and misc stuff aisle....

i used 4 pieces of a coat hanger cut them bout 4 inches, put them in each hole thenpush them to the outside slightly and pull back, works flawlessly

OK so why were on the radio subject....My FM does not work!!! The AM and the cd players are fine. I need some ideas. The little things are connected on the rear window, and we've already removed the radio and checked the antennae connection. Are there any other suggestions??? P.S. I do Not have an owners man. b/c the last owner decided to hold on to it as a keep sake<sarcasm>.

the headunit is shot, very common problem. my advise, get the 6 disk in dash audiophile unit from a 06 ish escape. way better all around, plug and play, sub will work, fm will work, steering wheel controls will work and no more useles cassete player

I have a very nice cassette collection on Maxell tapes that I made 25-30 years ago that still sounds like new. It's nice to still be able to listen to them once in a while while cruising. Brings back some good time memories.
I miss albums too. Part of the fun was to look at the album cover while jamming, and you could use it to clean the seeds out of......oh nevermind.
