Black is the best color for the Marauder IMO. Blue is a close second

Absolutely, I wanted a silver(even had one bought till the guy backed out) but if I was getting it painted, dunno what color it would be... Still since this one already had the SC installed I can over look the color, black is defiantly bad to the bone...

Main reason I wanted another color is I have a black '93 Lightning, and despise constant cleaning...

CVPI Ultra Blue.

I would try silver as long as it had the gray interior. Then I'd paint it black.

I'd like to go black, then prove you can come back.

Opinions are like butt holes we all have them but most of them stink:lol: JK. I love any color Marauder over no Marauder so Black , Blue, Silver or yes even DTR FTW. I would have to see it but Gun Metal could look cool. Again IMO, so it could stink for all I know:P

I'd keep my car black for as long as it's all in one piece, but if I could get any other of the MM colors, I've always been partial to Silver. Then Blue, then DTR.

Doubt I would ever change the MM color but I am sick to death of silver/grey/black/white cars and trucks. Nice factory paintjobs in a bunch of different colors is darn near a thing of the past. Ill give Mopar credit for at least making some new old style colors for the Challenger/Charger. As an example, take a look at all the colors you could get on a 65 Impala (scroll down)

MidnightBlue metalflake its a Honda color. It's Black with a blue shade and a metalflake base, has a very deep look to it.

I wholeheartedly agree, of course I don't think I'd want mine Grabber Green/Blue, Calypso Coral, or Meadowlark Yellow, but those colors sure looked good on a '69-'70 Stang('specially on a Boss)...

Back then for I believe $25, Ford would special paint your car with any color they offered... Want a Lincoln or T-Bird color on your Mustang or Torino??? No problem... I've seen a '69 Cobra Fairlane that was optioned with Lincoln dark charcoal metallic and two with the Calypso Coral that was common on Cyclones, but not a std color for the Fairlane/Torino line...

I wish they would bring back calypso coral for the new stang

The Tuxedo Black metallic ford uses on some lincolns would look good.

I have that color on my Fusion and its really nice when the sun hits it and reflects the metal flakes.

Im liking that new dark blue called Ink blue Metallic they use on the Flex.

I would actually do a two-tone...Black top with SB bottom

Bluerauder
10-24-2010, 04:36 PM
No, I don't think that I would.

I never went looking for a Blue MM .... I had my heart set on Black and only Black. Got a call back from the F-L-M dealer who said he had a Blue one on the lot. Made him go out and check that it wasn't just a Grand Marquis. Drove over to the dealer a couple hours later and saw the Blue MM sitting right in a prominent spot on the lot .... my first reaction was Uh Oh. I liked it and have never regretted my choice. Didn't find out until much later how rare the Blue MMs really were.

I kinda like the attention that it draws. People still come up and say that they didn't know that Marauders came in Blue.

I understand the draw for the black ones .... but blue is still my favorite.

If I had to do it over again.....I would still go with the SB....but for a second car I would go with Black.

Always liked the Mustang in Mineral Gray Metallic. I think it would look good as a tu-tone over my Silver Birch.

I wish the Black had some sparkle. I think a cranberry metallic would look good. Because of the size of the MM, in your face colors wouldn't work for a DD. The Camaro comes in that super bright green and while I'd say it works for cruise/car shows not sure I'd want that color to drive to work everyday.
