What I want is obvious...MODS! I was trying not to modify anything on the car that could not be very easily changed back. Right now all I have is a tune and CAI but i have the itch for more. I wan't an exhaust and 4.10's. My only concern is does this affect the value of my MM a lot? It seems that when people are looking for these they want them all original and unmolested. What is your take on this guys?

I could be wrong, but the feeling I get from looking at prices is that modifying the car with performance mods only detract value from the car when it's very low mileage. (under 20,000 miles) Superchargers seem to add value to the car regardless of the mileage. When these cars are much older and collectors are willing to settle for higher mileage vehicles, then I could see a stock car being worth more than a modified one, but that time is still a ways off.
Visual mods on the other hand can detract value depending on how nuts you go. If you go with after market rims, keep the stock ones around. Just don't paint the car bright green, raze the suspension, and put 25" wheels on it.

Are you wanting to do mods to enjoy driving the car...or worrying about the next guy that might buy it (whenever you decide to sell it - whenever that might be)?
Do the mods...enjoy the car...if someone else doesn't want it in the future...at least YOU enjoyed it! You own it now! Just try to keep them tasteful so noone points and laughs. NOTE: NO FENDER VENT (BUICK) STICK-ONS.
I've had my 5.0L for 20 years. I've enjoyed it. If I'd worried about the next guy when I bought it, I would have parked it and never driven it! What's the point? It still looks and runs great, but that's because I took care of it. I wasn't concerned with who was going to buy it next. Why would I - I would never have thought I'd still have it 20 years later.
That's like the fool that pays $60-$65 Grand for, say a Shelby, and garages it for +/- 6 months a year. What the ***l did he spend the money for? To make his garage look pretty?
BTW: the 25" wheels would look cool!!...no?...just kidding!

Go ahead and mod it. Enjoy it the way you want. I modified mine before it was even out of warranty, at least my old 2004. My 2003 I bought with everything just the way I wanted (Trilogized).
It may make it less valuable but to me its everything I wanted. I know if I ever sell I may not get my money out of it.

I'll have my MM forever so I mod it the way I want. They will be no other owner.

After seeing your '87 Mustang run leaving Solon, I had a feeling the mod bug would eventually bite you!
Anyway, I don't think mods will affect your resale one way or another, Mike. I think that keeping the car clean and running good helps your resale more than modding it hurts.

Adam has seen how out of hand my cars can get. haha I have NO plans of getting rid of this car at all but the collective nature of the car somewhat pursuades me not to go crazy with it and i'm just trying to set a few boundaries for myself. It's not even that I plan on selling it but I hate the thought of me diminishing value of it. Visually I wouldn't change a thing about it. These cars couldn't be any sexier. lol buty ou guys have a good point and I should just do what I want to do to enjoy it. I think as long as I keep the mods tasteful I should be ok.

Mod and enjoy! Unless you have really low miles and have the car in storage why bother keeping it stock. A built/modded up Marauder is really satisfying to own.

Change gears. You can always change them back. Leave exhaust alone, at least for now.

You sound like you're an import owner! They're always concerned about resale value because imports are BORING!!!!! Mod to your hearts content. Sounds like you got a bite from the speed bug, it uncureable.....your done. :banana2:

Just an FYI, if you mod your car and post about having fun with it the post will get deleted.

I've never been more insulted! lol I HATE imports with a passion! I would probably end up doing it either way but this seems to be something that's never been brought up and I was kinda curious.

I do want to add that i'm not concerned with resale price as I am with value. I think we all would like our cars to be as valuable as possible. If I was planning on selling this thing I wouldn't be putting $ into modding it. like I said before I have no intentions of ever getting rid of this and i probably won't. I have had some cool cars but this is by far one of the best cars I have ever owned.

Hope he modified the shift schedule in his tune or he's not gonna be real pleased with the gears...

I already had a tuner from Zach with a 4.10 tune in it. Still breking the gears in.
