'been working on troubleshooting the "bucking" issue in low rpm/high load situations. I ordered some parts to address the issue from a COP/boot connector angle (after reading lots of great posts on this issue--Thx everybody). However, today I noticed the radio display and the interior dome light were pulsating when the car was in-gear and stopped, with my foot on the brake. The factory voltmeter reads 14V in this condition (solid) and I am running the original alternator and battery (still has a "green eye").
Did I miss on my diagnosis of the COPs/connectors?
(most) any thoughts would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, and I'm also chasing the CEL issue with the very minor EVAP leak code....
What's the RPM's at when the car is in park and what it is in drive with your foot on the brake?

500 in-gear and 650 in P (at normal operating temp)

Sounds low to me.

OK, I'll stick with the COP/connector path---if I'm reading you correctly...

Ever so often, I take off the cold air kit, the throttle body, the coils, the plugs, the MAF, spray the bejesus out of what needs sprayed, wash the air filter, replace the plugs, (occassionally the coils) and then throw it all back on, runs mucho bettero.

First off-Thanks for the "mucho bettero"-this has been frustrating, and that made me chuckle...
...and since I have done everything you have mentioned, minus the coils, I guess I know where to go.
Thanks. I appreciate your help.

I had this issue (sounds like at least) as well. I had an evap code as did my son. In both instances it was a bare wire grounding out. Mine was in the tray under the trunk (2003 Marauder), and his was around the same area (1998 F150)
Just a place to help you start perhaps.
