Marauder sightings my azz... I have made numerous Maine to Florida and return trips..at least 14 since Marauders were released and I have seen a grand total of one(1) Marauder on or off the road. At least 24,000 miles and I have spotted 1 Marauder. Either my eyes are really bad or our rides are rare, sitting in garages or at car shows. That Marauder was in upstate NH where there are no Marauders that I know of. I have traveled extensively in Maine and never seen one there, ever. Anyone wonder why they stopped making them, anyone remember when dealers were trying to give them away with not much luck? I remember looking at 3 blacks on the dealers lot thinking who thought that old guys were going to buy that wacky looking car. Little did I know that if I had driven one of them the 03 CV LX Sport I purchased would still be on the lot. :D I have always been the last to know... everything....

Obamanation and Cash for clunkers might be a reason.

You might look in the Lakes Region of NH for my BLACK "MMRAUDER", but in winter I don't take it to FL! There is another (never clean) Marauder in town on Lake Winnipesaukee. They ARE out there!

I can't think of the last time I saw one but I know I have seen a few since they came out.
I think they would have sold a lot more if they had put the Cobra motor in instead of the Mach 1.

One of the concepts for the car was a supercharged 2V motor at around 320 hp, be glad they went with the 4V motor we got. ;)

They would have sold more if they had actually advertised them!!
They actually shutdown the project when the cars hit the showrooms for the first time.
The local ads in NY had video of the Marauder at the end of the Mercury spots on TV but the sound track went completely silent during the Marader part of the video.
Ford saying the reason they stoped making them was because of poor sales is pure BS!
They wanted the car to die so they could replace it with the 500/Taurus "World" platform! Good luck with that - it'll be a frosty Friday before I buy one of those!

I rarely see any Marauders on the highway unless I am in the OTHER car. :o

I see them in Florida a lot, at meets and on the road and in Friends driveways and garages but I never see them in Maine or on the road to or from. I usually get my return fix at the fat car shootout but can't make it this year so the FruitPunch and I hope to be looking at classic cop cars this coming weekend at the :burnout:meet in Largo, Fl. ...there will be Marauders there, I trust. I would have made the scene but I was 1200 miles away busy eating lobster and drinking microbrew beer and acting stupid by design downeast on the great Maine coast while you irresponsible nuts were drinking Charlotte dry and putting giant tic tac toe boards on parking lots all over the landscape.

OK, I give. MartyO, Tom A, Chris, Sherm, John and most of the big guns will be there and it wouldn't seem right not to see Woodhick Willie and all my other friends, I bet even some with sandwiches and all with beer with which to pound me into the parking lot again. Once a year is not enough, every two years unthinkable. Tell Cheese to bring some of that Ankle Biter Ale. :) ...give Kathy a hug from me to tide her over till I get there.:D...you hug your brother in law..I gotta draw the line somewhere.:P

I see between 1 and 3 a week. Usually in different areas so I doubt they are allways the same ones.
anyone remember when dealers were trying to give them away with not much luck?
What I remember is the day I paid full price for my Marauder!
