These are a bit old, but figured I would share.

My grandpa has always been a Ford man and perhaps more importantly, a fan of the CV and GM. He's driven them since 1956 with the exception of a brief period where he drove a Galaxy 500. In my earliest memories of him, he drove a light blue mid 80's LTD. In 1995, he bought a '94 CV LX which he then sold to me in 2004 before I started college. He now owns the 2003 CV LX in the pictures below.

It was his old '94 CV that got me interested in panther vehicles, which I knew very little about before owning one. When I found out about the mercury marauder shortly after I bought his old victoria, I decided that one day I would own one. When I finally got my marauder last winter, it should go without saying that grandpa wanted a test drive.

...to see the smile on his face as he was flinging gravel from the lane while pulling out onto the highway, you could tell he didn't feel 80 :burnout:

Nice photos man. I bet grandpa wants to borrow the marauder every once in a while.

I got my boys into foxbody 5.0s, looks like one of them is following me into the marauder realm as well. He said "That car looks really cool in the driveway when I come home at night. Looks real aggressive, I like it alot more than I thought I would".

The other day I caught him flipping through the will to see if he gets it....silly boy...daddys getting buried in it!

Thanks for sharing with us all. This is the stories about how family influences the ones that follow. My dad has been a Ford man his whole life and my 8 of them shows I have the addiction too!

Best of luck to you with your Marauder and your Grandpa's with his Vic too! I will have my dad drive my Marauder when I return to Chicago for Christmas vacation! He liked my Boss 351 when we took it for a test drive in 1999!

Enjoyed the story and pictures!
It's great that you get to share time and interests with your Grandfather.
My Grandpa died when I was 9 years young and I often wish that I could have spent time with him once I had started driving-working on cars.

My Grandfather and my Father (RIP) were died-in-the-wool FORD men.
I'm sure that's why I've now got 5 Fords!

Thank goodness they weren't Chevy guys...
otherwise I'd have a heap of lame Camaros* in the driveway and be telling everyone how nasty my 350 small block is!...:shake:

*
:hmmm: Actually I probably would have bought a 5.0 Mustang anyway...after being 'walked' by lots of them while racing my IROC-Z Camaro...

Believe me, if we're lucky enough to have him around in 2014 when he sells the CV LX, I'm sure he'll at least give one a hard look. He's always wanting to drive mine or at least have me take him places with it!

Not that I mind; I love hearing his stories of his glory days. Sometimes, I really think his generation was the greatest.
