Im in the market for a Marauder and its really paid off to have connections and being a Ford Employee. What I mean by this is Ive found a few cars that Ive had to steer clear of even though it seems like a good deal. CARFAX is hit or miss really and shouldn't be the end all of car reports. In fact it can be very misleading. "Vehicle involved in a collision" does mean "someone bumped the car in a parking lot while I was sitting in it" like he told me? Or does it mean massive and I mean massive front end accident needing to replace the whole front end like I found out later:mad2:. Also there was one I was looking at with a clean carfax but after running a Oasis report found out it had the LCM, temp control head, blower motor and eventually the dash wiring replaced. Imagine inheriting an electrical nightmare car. Just be careful guys, Id like to think people are honest but sometimes theyll tell you whatever you want to hear to make the sale.

BTW.....

The LCM, EATC and blower motor are all known issues with the Marauder / Panther vehicles so them being replaced isn't necessarily a problem.

Why they replaced the dash harness is beyond me. I've replaced several in my 10 year career as a Ford / Lincoln / Mercury mechanic and have had no issues.

The problem is, none of you are trying to come off your nice rides, which is understandable.

This is also why I recommend Autocheck and an OASIS report for any hidden "surprises".

I had no problem finding a good one a year ago and did it site unseen. Just do your DD and you will be fine. There are still some good ones out there.

Love the paint job on the boat .... but you are aware that the Green Mamba is an arboreal snake that lives in the trees. Rarely does it take to the ground. Never to the water. J-FYI. ;)

thanks. Not my boat but Id drive an Outerlimits powerboat painted pink with purple penises all over it if I could. :D

CRAP! the two I was looking at both fell through. Another thing that sucks is my bank will only finance a car 6 years or newer which means I HAVE to get an 04 Marauder to get the majority financed ($11k) and the rest I have to pay with cash which I have but I dont want to tie up most of my cash on a car. What sucks is there's tons of 03's available for sale but very few 04's and I have till the end of this year to make it happen or else I wont get financed.
