My transmission is acting funny. 1st sometimes from a dead stop car in drive under light acelleration it feels like it doesn't engage or slips. It then engages as though I had it in neutral & slammed it in drive. I have always had trans fluid & filter changed every 20,000 miles. I also have a vendos tune that improved shifts from day one. Never abused never. Whats up ?
How often does it happen and is it doing it only when its wet out?

It has been going on for the last two weeks . No wet weather.
Make sure the shift lever is adjusted properly before going further.

I will check the shifting lever. I don't think it is out of adjustment.
This will sometime happen while in drive driving around stop & go traffic. Other times it's fine. It almost feel like the trans fluid isn't getting to were it needs to be. To bad I know NOTHING about my 4r75w.

Curt, does it ever happen around corners, like on- or off-ramps?

Tranny fluid was chAnged today with filter thinking it would help but I don't know how the tranny would be bad if it shifts through all the gears like normal its fine on first startup it just seems to do it after its been running for awhile

sounds like you have done alot of brake stands, that kills the pump seals, sorry dude, time for a rebuild. been there burt up the tranny just like that on my verry first car, 92 grand marquis... you did make sure to take the old filter seal off right? sometimes they get stuck in the hole.
Pull the pan and make sure the filter didnt drop out of the valve body

These symtoms are random. It doesn't happen when rounding corners just from a dead stop from time to time. I never power braked the car to get the wheels to spin. If it doesn't have the power to spin the tires from a dead stop why would I want to abuse the trans for entertainment. It is time to drop the pan change the trans fluid & filter & have a visual inspection.

When was the last time you had you fluid changed before recently? Notice any air bubbles in the fluid?

what the problem only being a solenoid? and i was kinda thinking the tranny was shot but then again it would shift through all the gears without hesitation until warmed up then it would go all crazy on me... downshifting out of OD on the highway and all kinds of crazy ****... good thing its fixed
