I've heard nothing but good things about the chip from just about everybody. Are there ANY down sides at all?

Only down side is if your dealer's an ass and voids your warranty when he finds out.

Nope. Come for a ride and you'll have a perma-smile plastered all over your face... :)
Here in DFW, Marauder owners don't need to worry about chips in their cars so long as they take their car to the same dealer I do..

Logan, in another thread, you mentioned your dyno runs back in July. Found the thread and here it is http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89&highlight=chip+dyno
In looking at the stock run, it appears to me that the stock programming REALLY richens up the motor starting around 4500rpm. The a/f ratio goes up almost to 10.5:1. It seems to me that that would really make the car run doggy in the upper rpm's. Just the fact that the Chip shows a MUCH better a/f ratio throughtout the rpm range is enough reason to get that chip!
With all this talk about cylinders 7-8 running hot and burning up pistons, etc., you'd think Ford/Mercury would change that stock programming if it's typical for our cars.
